Arrived late (8pm) into Wickenburg on the way to Phoenix. A small non-descript town with a fair smattering of mainly Mexican style restaurants and bars. Chose hotel as competition looked very dated indeed. Good location for nighttime food and to get away early the next day. Used the 7 restaurant/cocktail bar (which isn't anything like a cocktail bar!) down the block for great and cheap mexican bar food. Recommended for speed and value for money.
The reception and courtyard rooms look ok. More blocks to the rear. We stayed in a very nicely decorated room for a B Western but with a poor (almost industrial) view from its balcony at the back (room 215). Others might have been disturbed from 5am by the sounds of peacocks calling immediately at the rear. Didn't bother us as we are used to roosters from 5;30! but would affect your sleep if not used to it. Choose a front room if necessary.
