Easy to locate, this hotel looks fine from the outside. Inside, however, it is wholly decorated in shades of brown, from the fake and real wood in the decor to the ginger-cake-mix coloured walls. Coupled with the inadequate lighting, this makes for a gloomy atmosphere. Perhaps it was thought that the fake wood and 'wild west' artefacts would give an authentic feel. At dinner, the 'entertainer' sang one C&W song after another until 9pm. We wondered why the restaurant was less than half full but this and the perfunctory service made us glad to leave. At breakfast, we were overcharged at first; getting the money seemed more important than serving the guests. We did not eat there again.
The bedroom lacked a shelf or hooks, there was no light over the bath/shower, the rail provided was too low to hang e.g. trousers but there were individual lights over each bed. Shops, restaurants and fuel is within easy reach.
