“Awesome!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2013

This place is awesome. It looks very stylish and new. The hotel decor is very Native American. Scattered throughout the hotel are interesting historical photos of the Grand Canyon area. The hotel has 2 restaurants, a fancy one and a bar & grill. It also has an arcade and bowling alley. The bowling alley was unavailable the night we stayed due to league bowling. There is also a small workout room. It has a couple universal weight-training machines, 2 treadmills, 1 bicycle, 1 elliptical, and 1 squat machine. There was no fan in the room to cool off though. The hot tub rooms was connected to the workout room. The hot tub was a decent size but most of the jets were not working properly and some were not working at all. The water temperature was nice and hot though. The breakfast was very good with a variety of things to eat: fruit, cereal, french toast, eggs, potatoes, biscuits, toast, juices and milk. The french toast was a bit cool but there was a microwave right there to fix that. Our room had 2 queen beds, a refrigerator, microwave, small table, MP3 alarm clock, hairdryer, and iron/ironing board. The room has a really nice large oval tub. The bed was excellent and the pillows were good. The room also had a Keurig coffee-maker that my wife absolutely loved. close

We so appreciate knowing you enjoyed your stay with us and that you thought the hotel was nicely decorated and a comfortable place to stay. The black and white historical photographics are very popular and many visitors take time to look at all of them. We were also glad to know you enjoyed your dining experience with us. We spent 1 night here and it was very nice, it was cold outside and we had a couple of drinks by the fireplace in the lobby, the room was clean and well appointed and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was well stocked and constantly refreshed. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

We arrived a bit early but were most pleasantly welcomed and accommodated. The receptionist was super nice and helpful. Our room was everything we would expect in a luxury hotel. Wanted to stay longer!

Dear BestWeseternTraveler:

Thank you so much for commenting and reviewing our hotel here on TripAdvisor.com after your stay with us this February.

We try hard to accommodate everyone arriving early or late. Traveling isn’t an exact science most of the time and we know that. Anything we can do to make guests stay easier and less stressful we will do. And thank you for complimenting the staff. It’s nice to let the staff know they are appreciated for being nice and helpful and making our guest’s experience wonderful.

Please come visit the canyon again and yes stay longer!

Sincerely,

4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013

I've stayed at this hotel twice. The first time the room we stayed in was really nice!! Large room as well as a large restroom. The second time the room was average. When I asked the front desk to move us to a room like the one I had the first time. I was told since my room was paid for through expedia I couldn't. I later found out that the building that is not attached to the hotel are all the older rooms. So when you book your room make sure your in the main building.

Activites- We loved the little bowling alley!! It's located on the lower level of the hotel as well as a the little arcade. They even have a bar!! We stayed with family and the kids loved the bowling. You can even order pizza from the bowling attendant. The lanes are a first come first serve.
Breakfast- Breakfast was a hit!! They have everything you can think of....cereal, toast, juice, coffee, eggs, sausage, pancakes....etc! It's all buffet style. You can stay and eat there or take your food back to your room.
Fitness Center- My husband took advantage of the fitness center. It has all the standard equipment you would find in a normal gym.

Over all I would recommend this hotel to friends and family visting the grand canyon.

Room Tip: The rooms in the main hotel are larger and more spacious.

Dear Ce_CeMama:
Thank you so much for your patronage and writing and posting this review for us.
I do apologize that we were unable to upgrade you to another maybe larger room in the main building during your stay. Unfortunately if you have chosen one of the smaller, more affordable “cozy” rooms online and the hotel is fully booked we just do not have the rooms to upgrade individuals too. The Grand Canyon is a popular place and often the hotel is full especially on the weekends surprising to some visitors in the winter as well as the summer.
We were happy to learn that the you loved our bowling alley and arcade. Along with the breakfast buffet, it’s one of the more popular amenities with families and other travelers . . . and the pizza is good! We were also glad you were able to take advantage of our gym and jacuzzi.

Thank you for the recommendation to stay here at our hotel and we hope you will make a third trip to visit the Grand Canyon and stay with us in the near future.

Sincerely, Heather

This location is close to the southern entrance to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. The room was clean and comfortable.
Good spot to relax after a hike at the Grand Canyon.
The breakfast was an upgrade from the traditional continental breakfast.
Fresh fruit, breakfast breads and eggs, along with the usual breakfast fare.
