“Great place to spend the night”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2013

If you don't want to / can't afford to stay 'in the park', this is an excellent alternative 15 minutes drive away.

Although the hotel is large, the breakfast room could easily cope and offered one of the finest breakfast selections we've seen on our trip, especially given the room price.

“You can hear everything going on in the hallway...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013

We could hear everything and anything that went on in the hallway. The door did not have very good lining to at least muffle voices, we could hear people whispering to one another. That's how bad it was.

Which leads to the second problem, the housekeeping staff that worked our building were extremely loud. To be more accurate, there were maybe 2-3 that were extremely loud. They would have conversations down the hall from one another as they were cleaning separate rooms.

The restaurants attached here, as well as the breakfast buffet, were average. Don't go here for dinner, you get average food for really high prices.

My advice, pay the extra money and stay in an upgraded room. Avoid eating here.

Room Tip: Don't pick any room by a stairwell. You will hear everything.

Dear Vang0605:

Thank you for your comments concerning your stay at our hotel. I appreciate your taking the time to write and post your review and hope you will accept my apologies for any inconvenience you experienced.

We all were disappointed we failed to give you the fine accommodations we strive for with all our guests. With that said, noise can be issue in any hotel and unfortunately some rooms can be noisier than others depending where they are located on the property. I am sorry you encounter this issue here at our hotel though. We have investigated your comments and will take steps to ensure that the issue you experienced does not happen again to any guest staying in the room you were in. We have also had the Housekeeping Director speak to their staff and they have been made aware of your comment and have taken immediate corrective action.

Again, thank you for bringing this to our attention and we surely hope if you are in our neck of the woods so to speak, you will definitely stay with us and see the improvements we’ve made from your comments.

Sincerely,
Heather

“Great place, loved it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013 via mobile

I love the BW Premier hotels and this one was great too. It also had a nice gift shop, restaurant, lounge with fireplace and free breakfast! Great location, only 6 miles from Canyon and a lot cheaper and nicer accommodations than at Canyon. The lobby and other wall have great artifacts, statues and pictures of local history throughout the hotel! Would definitely stay here again especially for $89 a night. Beds were comfy and room was spacious. Tv Remote had been sanitized and placed in its own older. Best of all each room had its own Keurig coffee machine!!!!

“Great Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and got a free upgrade to 2 Kings which was a bonus. Based on the negative reviews it seems like most of them were written by travelers who stayed there in the summer, where it's extremely busy. We stayed in the winter and it was the low season and we only have good things to say about our stay. Big and clean rooms and a decent complimentary breakfast. I could imagine that parking would be a problem during the high season though. Other than that, it's a great location if you're visiting the Grand Canyon. It's only a minutes drive to the South Rim entrance.

Dear JonathonT:

Thank you for taking the time to write and post this nice review of our property, Best Western Premier Grand Canyon Squire Inn.

We were happy you enjoyed your stay and that we were able to upgrade you and your family. We appreciate your kind words and that you enjoyed the all the hotel had to offer from the large size room to the very popular continental breakfast buffet. On another note, it might seem like parking would be a problem but there is a large parking lot on the backside of the hotel that you might not have seen if parking in the front or on the side was closer to your room.

We hope you will visit us again and have just as enjoyable if not better experience.

Sincerely, Heather
