April and Ivan are your hosts and they are as delightful as the Inn and the surroundings in Tubac. Wonderful shops exhibiting excellent Southwest artists. Golf galore in Green Valley and Tubac. Beautiful surroundings and much to do and see. . .or just relax. We had our wedding at Tubac Country Inn August 2009 and could not have been happier.

The Tubac Country Inn is an extremely well kept 5 room B&B located at the back of the artist shops that define Tubac. The Inn is very quiet, far enough off the highway and beyond the shopping area that noise simply does not enter the equation. The rooms are most comfortable and nicely appointed in Southwestern decor, and VERY clean. The kitchenette is ample and nicely equipped. The courtyard is a remarkable delight. Cost was very reasonable.

Even though the area is relatively remote, there are several excellent restaurants in and around Tubac.... and more if one is willing to travel a little to neighboring communities.

Owners April and Ivan could not have been more accommodating. We'd certainly recommend the Tubac Country Inn, and look forward to being able to visit it again.

The Tubac Country Inn started out to be way above average. April was very responsive to my emails and courteous and pleasant to work with. The Inn was nice, spacious, and clean. I was slightly disappointed with the service though. There was a note in the room that said that if you planned to checkout before 7:25 AM you should call so I called the night before checkout since I needed to check out at 7:00 AM. April answered and said that I wouldn't be able to get breakfast then since they require more notice than the night before for early checkouts (which wasn't stated anywhere). Since the breakfast is pastries, yogurt, and fruit I would expect that they could arrange an early drop off since it was only 25 minutes earliler than usual.

At the Tubac Country Inn we make every effort to accommodate our guests requests. In this case, if there had been a 24 hour advance notice, we would have been more than happy to leave everything in the room for breakfast as we do for our birding clients and early plane departures.

We stayed in the two queen room which was very spacious and lovely. The Inn is located just at the end of the road between new and old Tubac. It is definitely well within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants in Tubac.

The owners are so friendly and courteous. They were helpful and the breakfast was just right. The breakfast basket, which is left on your doorstep every morning, consisted of two bananas, two yogurts, two little cheese squares, and fresh danishes one morning and fresh cinnamon rolls the next. The baked goods were wonderful warmed up in the little microwave provided in the kitchenette. There was a coffee pot with little creamers in the mini-fridge. Additionally, we really appreciated that the Inn provided Splenda along with regular sugar.

I would definitely recommend the Inn to anyone looking for a place to stay in Tubac.

My girlfriend needed to deliver a painting to an art exhibit in Tubac, so I found the website for this charming inn there. What a lovely place! The grounds, though small, were inviting for reading or stargazing, and our room was terrific! We had a two bedroom suite on the ground floor. It was tastefully decorated and very clean. The beds were comfortable and warm. We enjoyed having the small fridge in the kitchenette for wine and sodas. After spending the day driving in the morning and going to shops in the afternoon, it was a real treat to head back to our cozy room, eat cheese, crackers and fruit and drink wine in our pajamas, and watch tv. It may sound boring, but it was restful and fun for us. There was a bit too much noise from the room above for awhile, and the sofa was not particularly comfortable, but all in all, it's a great place.

The innkeepers are very nice and helpful people, and the rates are reasonable. I recommend the Tubac Country Inn to anyone visiting Tubac, AZ. Many thanks to Ivan and April!

  • Liked — Lovely room and helpful innkeepers!
  • Disliked — Living room sofa not very comfortable.

The 2-bedroom suite we booked was very attractive and comfortable; the grounds were nicely landscaped and quiet. And the owners were very nice. The big disappointment was the breakfast, which consisted of a pack of commercial coffee for the coffee maker, no cream and a breakfast basket that contained light yoghurt, bananas and some nice pastries. For those of us who do not eat artificial sweeteners, however, that left a banana and a pastry...not much of a breakfast. Compounding the meager breakfast issue is the fact that there are no restaurants close by whcih serve breakfast. Considering the price, I expected good coffee and cream to be available, at the least.

  • Liked — The bedroom, bed and furnishings. And the windows opened.
  • Disliked — The breakfast and the coffee.

I apologize, but we do supply portioned half and half for our guest coffee and teas. We keep a bowl of the creamers in the mini- refrigerator. In addition we have in all the rooms coffee bean grinders if the guest would like to bring their own specialty coffee, as mentioned on our website.
