We arrived early and April (one of the owners) welcomed us and showed us our room....quaint southwestern decor. April provided us with suggestions for lunch, we dropped our bags and headed off to town (all 2 blocks away)... we had lunch at Old Tubac Inn (GREAT) then shopped till my wife dropped. Went back to the room and napped. Had dinner at Melio's, which has a wonderful view. We did not have reservations, but they are suggested. Back to a quiet night at the INN.... sat outside under the stars. The INN has a chimmi and wood but we were the only one outside so we didn't take advantage of it. Slept like babies, the next morning around 7 am our breakfast "basket" arrived. It was just the right amount of food to get us going.

All in all... WOULD GO BACK AGAIN... good value for the money.

“Delightful”

Tubac Country Inn

Friends and I stayed at this great B&B during the October Anza Days Celebration. We stayed in the first floor two bedroom, living room and bath suite. The Southwestern decor was warm and inviting as were the hosts, Ivan and April. It was so wonderful to wake up in the morning and find a basket of sweet rolls or muffins, along with yogurt, cheese and fruit outside the door. The kitchen was stocked with colorful dishes , silverware, and coffee and tea.

The grounds were very inviting with wonderful plants and areas to sit and enjoy the sounds of water and birds and to watch the many beautiful butterflies. The garden also offered a small fireplace and seating under trees that were lit up as a place to relax in the evening.

Additionally, the location is within an easy walk to the downtown area which has many shops, restaurants, and galleries to enjoy.

My wife and I were invited to a friend's dad's 100th birthday party in Tubac and this B&B was recommended. The room, while small, was quiet and comfortable; the breakfast was limited to a basket containing 2 yogurts, 2 bananas and 2 pastries with a coffee maker in the room. There is a nice courtyard which is enjoyable for reading or visiting. Ivan and April, the owners, are very pleasant and friendly people who offered suggestions and helpful hints about the area and its attractions. We like to hike and the historic Anza Trail begins in Tubac following the Santa Cruz River north (Ivan was nice enough to pick us up in his vehicle at the Tumacacari Mission 4 miles up the trail so we didn't have to double back).

My husband and I and another couple recently stayed at the Tubac Country Inn, in Tubac, AZ, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. We shared a two-bedroom suite (one bedroom with twin beds, the other with a king), with a small but comfortable living room in the middle. The kitchen area is compact, with silverware, and dishes, a coffee pot and coffee. The bathroom was especially appealing, with a dynamite shower (I think it was called "raindrops"). The continental breakfast is brought in by the owner in a large woven basket, consisting of homemade scones, fresh fruit, juice, and yogurt; there was so much that we ended up taking it with us. The decor is southwestern and the rooms are immaculate. Tubac is located near Tucson, and on the way to Nogales and Bisbee. It's at 13 Burruel St., Tubac, AZ 85646, 520/398.3178. This beautiful inn has everything: walking distance to shopping and restaurants, peaceful setting, lots of comfort and amenities, and friendly owners. No detail is left unattended, from the beautiful gardens, to the Southwestern-themed rooms and furniture. Kitchenettes have everything you could possible need. TV and VCR with western movies. Books and magazines about Arizona and the old West. They even provide bug repellent outside the rooms on the porch should you need it (we didn't). The breakfast included the best croissants we've ever had, along with yogurt, fruit, cheese, and juice. This was by far the best accomodations we had on our 8 day trip through Arizona & New Mexico.
