“a visit to paradise”

serene and beautiful; located at Punta Peruchera, along the East Cape. Check your cares at the door, you will be cared; Be sure and arrange for at least one dinner. The food is wonderful, and the staff really listens to your preferences. The dining palapa is private with a view of the ocean below. Dinner is leisurely. A great place for time away, away from the kids and responsibilities. We went to bed with the stars and woke to watch the sun rise.

The road to Villa del Faro is bumpy but worth the journey. When you arrive Devora and her lovely friends greet you and attend to your every need. We've travelled all over Europe staying in five star hotels and this place is nicer. The decor is gorgeous. The views of the ocean are breathtaking. The food is amazing [beware you will gain weight!] and the staff is wonderful. They entertained my two little girls every morning with their bird or their stories. They even gave them a cookery lesson! [And my daughter has severe allergies]. Just 20 minutes down the road is the best snorkeling in Cabo. This is a quiet place, relaxing and off the beaten track. You won't find the madness of Cabo here, just beauty and peace. We can't wait to go back.

We spent 5 wonderful days at the Villa Del Faro and our only regret was that we had to leave. We spent a further 3 days elsewhere in the region which we won't do again - both my husband and I wish we had simply stayed where we were!

Tips for other travellers: take some supplies with you; the food provided is excellent but if you fancy something during the day or pre dinner, then this place really is in the middle of no-where and trust me, you will want to spend every minute there!

Staying at Villa del Faro is an absolutely wonderful experience. There are not enough stars in the rating system to do it justice. The hotel is owned and operated by an extended family and guests are made to feel as welcome as family friends. We stayed in Casitas Tres, which is beautifully furnished and thoughtfully situated to ensure maximum privacy. It includes a lovely, private outdoor seating area overlooking the ocean where we spent a great deal of time soaking up the natural beauty of the area. The pool and hotel grounds are a delight. Make sure to visit the beach, where you can stroll up the white sand and quite probably be the only humans in sight!

If you are looking to get away from it all while living in the lap of luxury, this is the place. Mexico the way it should be done - no crowds, beautiful water and beach and great amenities. The Stone Cottage provided pure and blissful isolation, with the sound of the surf as your lullaby and alarm clock. Devora and friends provided amazing food at the main villa complex, the settings and buildings of which only be described as aesthetic perfection. The pictures on the web don't do this place justice - it is perfect in every way. Do yourself a favor and stay here. It's off the beaten path, but that just contributes to its perfection.

Villa del Faro is one of a kind. If you like artisan cheeses, hand-crafted jewelry or exotic frangrances, then you are going to love this place. In our travels, neither my wife nor I have found a more beautiful combination of arid but lush context, creators (the people who actually built this place live there and serve you), living spaces composed of lovely elements mostly fabricated on site, food and drink and beach. And even when other guests are present, it feels as if you have it all to yourself. Perfect! We have now been guests 5 times and the bloom remains on the catcus blossom.

My husband and I ended our honeymoon in the stone cottage on the beach where we cooked outdoors and lazed the days away. The luxurious pool and poolside amenities as well as the INCREDIBLE meals and hospitality were the cherry on top! Our hostess and the staff were friendly, warm, and willing to bend over backward to accommodate. Fabulous spot for a honeymoon, romantic getaway, family vacation, or small company retreat. We'll return again and never forget this creative, eco-friendly, aesthetic masterpiece. Completely off the grid and well worth the drive!!!
