“heartfelt care, great intentions”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013

I agree in sharing that Domingo is a lovely human being and a very talented artist. His project, where for 16Q you can paint a plate or a cup, goes towards art supplies that he is collecting to teach art to talented youngsters in his community. Domingo is passionate about supporting youth and passing on knowledge. He is a good teacher, in that he is very patient and engaged. Visiting the well cared for garden of his father, and his art cafe, is the perfect way to spend an afternoon.

“A very special hidden place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2013

While visiting San Pedro, I tried many little cafes and restaurants. This is the one that remains the most special in my heart. Apart from having one of the most beautiful views which makes it a wonderful place to sit and enjoy a meal or a cup of tea, the people that run Art Cafecalibre where so very interesting to meet and spend time with. This is the one place that I felt myself drawn to several times while I was there. Do not miss this hidden gem of a place, go their first and you might find like me you will return often during your stay!

“An awesome place run by an awesome guy!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

Domingo is a great guy that I spent quite a bit of time with last year. He brews delicious coffee, makes amazing artwork, and is wonderful company. His location is beautiful and anyone visiting San Pedro La Laguna should most definitely go visit. Saludos Domingo! Nos vemos cuando vuelvo a Guatemala!
