“Perfect for morning coffee time!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2012

We have been on Lake Atitlan since July and we just spent one night in room #10. The place is clean, rooms are large, the hottest shower water we have every had in Guatemala, the second story veranda is wide with tables, hammocks and chairs which catch the morning sun as soon as it pops over San Pedro Volcano. Because your very near the lake the town sounds are not as bad here as say the hotel Maya (where we have also stayed at). Nothing in our room or even in front of our room was tampered with. The hotel is conveniently located and cost $12 for two. It's not high class but it is very nice for the budget traveler. Always, bring earplugs to these villages and towns....dogs and chickens are always noisy,

Room Tip: Bring earplugs and room #11 is closest to the lake.

“Cheap place, suitable for couples”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2011

We stayed there for a few days. A room for a couple costs 100Q, which is very good price at a very beautiful place. The room is spacious and clean and there are hot water in the shower (something that is not so obvious in Guatemala). There's an access to the lake for those who wants to take a swim whenever...
The place it more suitable for couples, that want some peace and quiet.
The owner of place, Felix, is very nice and helpful. so if we would get there somewhere in the future, we would comeback to this hotel again.

There's only one downside that i can think of in the place, it is that there is a lot of noise frome the road near the hotel on the morning.

“Clean, Convenient, Inexpensive”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2011

The hotel is just a couple of blocks from the Panajachel dock, right above the Lake. We paid Q100 per room. There are two beds in each room. We were going to share the room with our daughter and 6 year old grandson but they allow only two people per room. There's a short path down to the Lake where the local women wash clothes and the boys swim. Our grandson had a good time swimming there.

The rooms and bathrooms are sufficiently large and clean. There's a hammock on the porch in front of each room for relaxing. We've stayed there twice now and been very pleased with it.

Room Tip: We like the rooms closest to the Lake but I think they fill up first.

“Ok stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2011

The hotel wasn't terrible but wasn't anything special. We had a private room with double beds, and private bathroom on the lowest floor. It was nice but you could hear all the noise that goes on in the hotel courtyard. The bathroom was spacious with a nice shower. We had a cheap hammock outside our door that wasn't really worth laying on. It was decent but nothing to write home about.

Room Tip: Get the lowest room close to the lake

“Cheap and clean. Good choice”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2011

The room was big, there is the terrace on the lake and the ladies were cleaning all day long..
The only cons: the bedlinens were very old and wouldn't stay in their place on the bed and the wc worked quite bad..by the way I think it was bringing the stuff you put in it on the lower floor by the garden..
Finally, remember to pay the night in advance otherwise the owner will knock at your door!
