“Magical place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

I can't say enough good things about this place. Is a most go! It has the best staff and the food you will want to take all chefs back home. Great teachers for yoga and meditation. And obviously we can't forget about lake atitlan, it it such a mistical and magical place. I was there in mid October great weather!

The place is wonderful, scenery is awesome, surrounded by 3 volcanoes, food is good even for non-vegetarian, staff is very welcoming and friendly. Would definitely go back
there. A fantastic place to meditate and do yoga.

“Yoga Retreat in Guatemala”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2012

I stayed here with some friends the middle of March 2012. We were here on a Yoga Retreat. The resort itself is beautiful, nestled into the side of the mountain. The view from your room is second to none, volcanoes and lake providing breathtaking views!! The rooms were nice and decorated in area decor and materials and the beds were quite comfortable. There are no tv's here, however internet was $20 for the week and the reception was farily good. The resort is eco friendly which means water is heated by solar power, so sometimes the hot water took a bit of extra work on overcast days. The spa facilities were nice. I had a full body massage (1hr) by Linda which was heavenly!! I also had an organic facial which was also very enjoyable and both were reasonably priced at $55. The temples are beautiful. The food was all vegetarian (fish & chicken was available by request) and I was skeptical I would be satisfied, but it was delicious and there was a wide variety of food daily. It really was great and authentic. The transportation around the area is by boat. The local boats are about $2 each way and run about every 15 minutes. Local private boats are available for hire for about $25. The local towns and villages are beautiful and we felt very safe travelling around in the Lake Atitlan area. The gift shop was full of beautiful items made by local artisans. Panajachel was also a great shopping area for local wares. Wendy the hotel owner was always on hand to offer advice. The staff was very friendly, but few speak english. The managers will arrange your private or group shuttle to Antigua or Guatemala City, they are also very reasonably priced. All in all it was a great trip. I will definatley return to the area.

“Simply , Paradise!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2012

I stayed at this place and it is beautiful!! The view is amazing, the staff very welcoming, the food is DELICIOUS (even for non-vegetarian people, I guarantee you won't miss meat) The terrace where they serve every meal is AMAZING! The dock where I sat and read was beautiful. Very worth it to check it out!

“Great place to visit and recharge yourself!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2012 via mobile

Owner, Wendy, is loving and has a lot to share with others. Staff were friendly and the views are amazing. There are plenty of places to relax outside of your room. The hikes around the resort are beautiful. I was thrilled to visit!
