There are no bad views here at this gorgeous hotel. They have their own dock but there are launchas every 20-30 minutes and all you have to do is flag them down and they will stop. My room had a small terrace with a view of the Lake and the volcano. Everywhere you look there are little sitting areas, beautiful flowers, fountains and the colors are a visual feast. We ate dinner there both nights- June 10 and 11 and while other reviews raved about their food, I did not find it all that exceptional. Some of it was bland. You eat communal style so you get to know your neighbors. Dinner is served at 6:30 - a little too early for my taste, but it was still a good experience. Breakfasts are fantastic. The staff can't do enough for you. There are many steep steps leading up to the office and rooms. The minute we were off the launch, there were people carrying our bags up those stairs for us. My friend, however, had an incident with one of the staff members asking for a tip. There is a common tip box where everyone who wants to, can contribute. This put both of us off a bit and we felt it was very inappropriate. However, that would not stop us from going back again. It would just make us aware. We spent time visiting the other small towns by boat; and our last morning took a dip in the lake. Not a bad way to say goodbye to the Lake.
