This place was awesome. It's right on the beach in a remote area on the Pacific coast in Southern Costa Rica. The staff is great, especially the bartender Claudio, and the tour guides are all friendly and knowledgeable. The food was really good, and eating at one big table with the rest of the guests was a lot of fun and a good opportunity to meet some new people. While the hotel is right on the beach, the best beach is about a 15 minute walk away through the tropical forest and over a hanging bridge that crosses a river. Scarlet Macaws live right there on the beach, and we saw about 5 of them hanging out in a tree right there eating. Snorkeling was a lot of fun, we saw some friendly sharks and lots of colorful fish. The hike at Corcovado National Park was also a good time, we saw lots of monkeys, some cool birds and giant trees. All the activities and transportation were well organized and went smoothly. The hike and snorkeling trips required riding on a boat for up to an hour each way, but it was a nice ride through bright blue water with dolphins swimming around the boat. The room was small and the hot water was iffy, but we spent most of our time outside so the room size wasn't really a problem. I definitely recommend this place for people who enjoy meeting new people from around the world and doing outdoor activities.
