Great sushi I've had sushi all over the planet this is done right. Finding this here in Dominical awesome . No Japanese staff that I saw but the fish was fresh and presentation prefect . Price like ever thing in the area was a bit high . And a little wait for food and drink.

“Don't Miss Dominical Sushi!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2013

When in the Costa Ballena on Costa Rica's southern Pacific Coast, don't miss Dominical Sushi. The owners, Jota and Rocio are more than hospitable. The food is delicious and the presentation is stellar.

The ingredients were fresh, fresh, fresh. Rocio is the sushi chef and Jota handles the front of the house. The atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming.

They add a tropical Tico twist to their menu taking advantage of the great selection of fruits and vegetables growing there. They use avocado, mango, ripe plantains, and fruit reduction and soy glazes that work really well with the unusual ingredients.

Pricing is very reasonable and portions are generous. This place is a keeper!

“Best Sushi Southern Zone Costa Rica”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2013

I tell you what I found the best place to have Sushi in Costa Rica in a sleepy little surf town called Dominical. Everything was so fresh. The propieter were a cute young couple that put their heart and souls into every dish. I could not stop ordering. I think we had 6 plates between 3 of us. Do yourself a favor stop in and order the Begote seared tuna.

“Yum-Yum”

So great - the sushi, endamame - the owners (Rosalia y Jota) and don't forget the Sake!!...I've been to a Birthday party here...complete with Cake & Candles - it's right at the bottom of the main entry into Dominical - so very centrally located - their attention to detail is so accommodating - Enjoy it all !
