There are several different ghost tours offered in Tombstone: with a gunfight, on a trolley, in the Bird Cage Theater, or a walking tour. We chose the walking tour, which meets in front of Big Nose Kate's at dusk and then walks the streets of Tombstone in the dark, the guide stopping where various 1880's murders, shootouts, etc., occurred and telling about the events. You do not actually go inside any buildings, but stop outside where ghosts and auras of these events have been spotted. Because of the unusual content and high Tripadvisor ratings, were were really looking forward to this ghost tour, but were very disappointed. Though the stories could have been highly entertaining, our guide instead told them in a convoluted, tedious way. But much worse was that our guide, Lisa, could not contain her dislike toward her tour group, insulting the whole group over and over again for not being as enthusiastic in responding to her stories as she wanted, and occasionally insulting specific people in the group, as druggies, liars, etc., for no apparent reason. Some people are entertained by being thus insulted by their tour guide, but we were not amused. About 3/4 into the tour, overcome by boredom and rudeness of the guide, we discussed just leaving the tour early, but because of the high ticket prices I insisted on staying to the bitter end. It was a mistake; we would have been better off leaving early. I would not recommend this tour.
