My family and I visited Tombstone during Helldorado weekend and by far the best place in town is the beautiful hotel with an incredible restaurant. First of all --all rooms face the Dragoons over the hotel immaculately kept gardens with walkway. The restaurant was a extremely pleasant surprise --I was not expecting a fine dining restaurant in this town most limited service hotels have a small cafe style places with limited items however at Ranch22 their restaurant we had ribs which were truly fork and knife ribs and my husband had the NY steak. My husband was also amazed at the extensive wine selection -- if you are visiting Tombstone this is the only place to stay and dine.

We have rented rooms every year at this motel for the weekend of Helldorado Days since the late 90's. Past experiences were ok but this year the room reeked of disinfectant for the first day and they refused to replace the defective coffeemaker. Even though we had reserved a year in advance and requested the rooms were to be in the same section, they were spread throughout the complex. They also refused to honor the AAA discount. The included continental breakfast is now skimpy, our guess is this is to enice yo to buy a decent breakfast at their Ranch 22 Restaurant which is new sine last October. (check the menu prices at dinner BEFORE you enter. The bottom line is: After many years staying at the Best Western, from now on We'll spend $20 more per night and stay at the new Holiday Inn Express right next door! Other people we talked to agreed to the move.

My wife & I stayed at this hotel for just 1 night. If we only had time to stay longer!
We had driven from Roswell NM, and were very tired & hot. The check-in was easy & our room was spacious & very clean with a terrific view.
The hotel is set in a to-die-for area, and the restaurant was superb. (Go for the baby ribs!)We had travelled 4000 miles by car so far, staying at 18 hotels at this point. This was the best! Helpful, pleasant staff + all the above. We would have spent our entire vacation at this hotel. Brilliant!
We would most definately return!

Me and my wife went to Tombstone expecting to find some second rate hotel, but what we got was a great surprise...the best western lookout lodge! With it's new Ranch 22 restaurant and bar serving clearly the best food in town..and probably the best for anywhere close this hotel is certainly a geat stay. The fire pits outside are great for a romantic sunset with a bottle of one of one of Ranch 22's great wines. Everyone was nice, and helped us when we needed some more towels and reccomendations on where to go and what to do. It was certainly a great stay.

This is by far the best hotel in the area. All their rooms face the famous Dragoon mountains--the bathrooms have old saloon swinging doors and they have beautiful mexican tiles. The owner has absolutely renovated the gardens which are incredible. The key addition by the new owners is Ranch22 Restaurant and Bar which opened in May 2005. The Chef is a graduate from Swiss Culinary Academy and has created fabulous dishes with California and South Western Flavor.

Beautiful Hotel, Grat food and excellent Ambience. Definitely will recommend to friends.
