“Living history”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2014

I loved the attention to detail in Allen Street, trying to capture what life was like 150 years ago. With no cars, no street lighting, horses and stagecoaches, etc made it come to life.
I also loved the way the shops, inside and out tried to emulate shops in those days.

“Walk around and see!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2014

Very interesting place to walk around. Lots of things to see and buy or not buy. Be prepared for the pitches from all of the people trying to sell you something!

“A fun little street”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2014 via mobile

I'll admit that the shops tend to be more of the same, but as a whole, the street, restaurants, shops, museums and shows are very entertaining. I took the trolley tour which was entertaining. It's also only 3 bucks if you buy the ticket with the Helldorado show (package deal). From the web and maps, I had a hard time picking a hotel. The Larian is cute as can be and very we'll located. It was full, so I stayed at the Tombstone Bordello. A simple place, but clean and with a very good breakfast. There are no major chains in town if you're used to those types of accommodations. Go and have a good time.

“Sights are good, people are rude”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2014

The street itself is neat and has a lot of the original structures, but most of the businesses up and down here are "everyone for themselves" and rude. Sad, but that's the experience we had. Will consider returning and giving it another shot.

“Great old west main street”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2014

We have visited many old western towns and the feeling of Allen Street is one of the best. The wooden sidewalks, actors in period clothing, and real stage coaches all make for a good experience.
