“Excellent Lunch Buffet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2012 via mobile

The flavour at this restaurant is exceptional. Even a carnivore would love their South Indian dishes. Vegetarian/ vegan and gluten free dishes were all delicious.

“Memories of Kerala”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2012

My husband and I have eaten here several times alone and also with friends or with family. Love the food. Vegetarian, a plus, delicious, yes yes yes. Does it make us want to visit India again? Absolutely.

“Authentic South Indian food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2012

Let me emphasize that I love Indian food in general, and largely due to this restaurant.
We lived in Scottsdale for a year and went there for a dinner at least once a week. We also went for some special occasions (e.g., Valentine’s day) when they were serving buffet.
The place is rather basic, no frills eatery, however it is packed on weekend nights and we loved the non-pretentious lively atmosphere.
The prices are very acceptable and service was consistently good (family of the owners). Most of the clients are of Indian descent - another sign of authentic food.
I would recommend almost all lentil dishes. If you like spicy try their Gobi Manchurian! Delicious indian deserts as well.
The place is a bit difficult to find since it has only small signage, hidden behind some trees.

“Vegetarian gem hidden in a dismal strip mall”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2012

The best South Indian vegetarian cuisine in the Valley! This restaurant is not much to look at. In fact, if you judge by appearances you might never pull in to the little strip mall, or walk in to the restaurant next to the laundromat, and once you walk in you might leave without tasting the fabulous food because the place isn't much to look at. Don't let that stop you, as the food is heavenly. We've eaten there several times in the past three months and each time the food was excellent. Many variations on standard dishes---last time we were there we tried a new dish (Pongal Avial) made of rice and lentils--looked like mashed potatoes, but so much better. . . . The ambiance is not great and the service is friendly but fraught with communication difficulties. The food, however, is sublime.

“Best Lunch Buffet in Town!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2012

Ok, this is not a fancy restaurant, rather one that is very utilitarian as in a good place to fill up on delicious, authentic Southern Indian cuisine. Lunch buffet here is awesome because of what you get with your $8.00. You get to try a large variety of the Southern Indian Specialties, all Vegetarian and most Vegan. My absolute favorite detail though is the Masala Dosa that you get when you sit down. This thing is a lentil crepe fried in butter until crispy and filled with delicious potato butter mixture. It is a big as a burrito and is sooo yummy. I would never have had one if not for the buffet, which you can have as many made to order as you like with your lunch included in the $8.00 price! This Masala Dosa costs $7.99 if ordered ala carte or on the dinner menu. Crazy value, and super delicious. The dishes are all super good here and not laden with yogurt and fats like Northern Indian Cuisine. They have many types of veggie curries and daal with samosas and pakoras and a lovely chai tea. If you are looking for a new restaurant to try, or new flavors, you should give lunch a try here. You can't go wrong! Also it is a BYOB for dinner. That is a plus!
