“Perfect location - Terrific Staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2014

First - I have to start with a brief description of the hotel. It is nice. The welcome staff and check in desk were efficient, friendly and went out of their way to make our arrival pleasant. The rooms are clean - the lobby and bar area are terrific - comfortable, well air conditioned - and offer both indoor and outdoor seating area. The bar was nice, the wait staff friendly, the drinks cold and refreshing. The breakfast buffet was actually very good - omelets made exactly to order by a very friendly chef…But the singular reason we will definitely make Tempe Mission Palms our Arizona home away from home is Regan - the concierge. From the day before our arrival, when she e-mailed me information - to the smiling face - and cold water bottles in hand at the door - when we were welcomed by name - SHE made our stay perfect. Every recommendation she made - and her amazingly cheerful and helpful demeanor made our stay perfect - We will return- often!
Hopefully - there will not be a hotel FULL of 100 plus baby wearing (yes - that is what they called themselves) conventioneers - which would have had us searching for a new hotel, if it weren't for the excellent service from Regan and the rest of the staff…

My husband reserved a room, online, w/ a king bed for us. When we arrived, there was a convention going on, and the hotel had given all the rooms w/ king beds away to the attendees of the event. TMPalms never notified us that our reservation was going to be altered. We almost canceled our stay, but the receptionist upgraded our room to a Junior Suite. That was the start of a good stay at the hotel. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The A/C couldn't be regulated, but it was timed to come on every few minutes and we weren't ever too cold or too hot.
Phoenix, in July, can be brutally hot/humid, and it was, but the hotel was comfortable, convenient to all the restaurants on Mill Ave., and it was worth the stay. The valets even washed our car because there were so many birds in the area.

Room Tip: The Junior Suite was worth it. It was quiet and spacious. I looked at the other rooms as the staff c...

Made a same day reservation on the July 4th weekend after a negative experience at the Marriott at the Buttes hotel. My wife and I were at the Marriott for a romantic weekend, despite the negative reviews we saw on Tripadvisor. Trust me - believe them! I called the TMP and received a Summer Sizzler special price with absolutely no incidental holds on my credit card unlike the Marriott and it's $100 charge. It was a fantastic stay from the moment we checked in! The concierge Regan and the front desk manager Zoe were sensational! What an amazing little hotel in the middle of a college town restaurant & bar mecca! The entire staff was very attentive and considering. The hotel also had a July 4th pool party where we were able to see the Tempe fireworks while sitting in the pool sipping drinks! How cool is that! Even the weather cooperated since it was below 100 degrees for the Fourth! I have already made plans to return to catch one of the ASU football games this coming season. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: Get a room facing the quiet garden on the second floor with easy pool access

Had not stayed here since OSU cheerleaders and band stayed for 2001 National Championship at Sun Devil. Could not believe how much Tempe has exploded, but Mission Palms is still the oasis in the middle of everything - sports, food, great shopping. Easy transportation to all that you need, but if you don't want to go far, tons of great restaurants and shops within walking distance. Hotel staff friendly, professional, and accommodating. Rooms updated, comfortable, and clean - great service. I came this time for a conference and staff is obviously geared for seamless delivery of conference style ammenities. Would love to stay here again when in town.

Room Tip: 2051 right at top of courtyard stairs, right outside the pool, right outside the exercise center, an...

I stayed at Tempe Mission Palms for a conference, and I couldn't have asked for a better stay. It is a very clean and well kept property; rooms are spacious; the common areas are very nice; food and drinks are very good (although service in Harry's bar could have been better). The airport shuttle service was quick and efficient. LOTS to see and do within walking distance. Some great restaurant and bar locations all in a short walk. I would definitely recommend this property for a vacation getaway or for a conference.

Stayed here for a conference and it was lovely. Very clean, nice rooms, good service, and located perfectly off of the main drag with all the shops and restaurants. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Loved the rooftop pool.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the courtyard with windows above the cluster of trees will be louder in the morning. T...
