We had quite a difficult time finding this hotel in spite of its location relatively close to the airport. The employees we spoke with the night of arrival were not able to provide directions. Once we arrived, however, the manager gave us some delicious chocolate chip cookies to make up for the inconvenience! Our room felt recently decorated - its decor was new and modern. We loved the room, but found the complementary breakfast to be simply adequate.

I booked 3 nights anticipating the full-service Hyatt experience, which this hotel does not offer. Rooms are nice, bathrooms are small. Unfortunately, they didn't have the Hyatt bed that I experienced in a full-service Hyatt. Work area is decent, but no wired internet connection is provided, only wireless. Wireless is quite fast and has great coverage, though.
Continental breakfast is good, somewhat standard offering. Ordering meals via the self-serve kiosk lends the hotel more towards the "at home" feeling.

As for the noise - this hotel is right at the end of the runway, and is directly under flight paths, so expect to hear planes. However, ff the room AC is on, you can't hear anything outside. In room, the plane noise is barely noticeable.

Housekeeping appears to do a good job, but does not follow the hotel policy of only replacing the linens if they are on the floor. I got fresh towels and bed linens every day.

Workout area is small but functional - it has 2 treadmills, a bike, and an eliptical, all Life Fitness brand (with TV integrated into the screen on the machine). Also has a selection of free weights. My only pet peeve is there is no sanitizer supplied to wipe down the machines with.

Overall, good value for an airport business hotel, but don't expect the full-service Hyatt experience.

I used this hotel for a one night stay after arriving into Phoenix after 11pm. I had never stayed at a Hyatt Place before and was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. We were greeted, checked in and in our room in minutes. The room was perfect for our needs, very comfortable bed, nice sofa area, fantastic tv and work area with every conceivable connection for electronics. Internet connection was included. The wetbar and fridge were nice amenities which we would may have used if we stayed longer. As another review noted, the bathroom is extremely small but functional. The sink/vanity area are outside of the toilet/shower room which made it convenient for two people to get ready the same time in the morning. The breakfast was included and had plenty of choices including Starbucks coffee (however, I overheard the front desk clerk telling another guest that they will be switching to Seattle's Best Coffee soon). The only small thing I can think to change would be to have the airport shuttle run later in the evening. I arrived after the shuttle stopped operating and had to rent my car that night, getting me into the hotel after midnight (3AM my time). If the shuttle had been operating I could have saved a little time.

Stayed here the night before my flight home from a business trip.
Hyatt Place hotels are mostly re-purposed Amerisuites. I have stayed in 5 or 6 differnt properties around the country and they are all mostly identical.
Hyatt hotels has totally redone the rooms into a modern design which is a cross between a 'suite' room and a regular room. There is a large, wall mounted flat-panel screen in the middle of the room which separates the sleeping area from the living room. Furniture is all new and very comfortable. The bathroom is small and the sink is in an open area in the bedroom poriton of the room.
The swimming pool is very small and in a fenced area on the ground floot outside the building. It doesn't look like it gets much use.
The air-conditioning is a wIndow unit which can be noisy as it is right by the bed.
You can purchase a hot breakfast entrée or just partake of the free continental breakfast. There is fresh fruit, dry cereal, yogurt, etc.
While there isn't a typical resturant on-site, you can purchase a few entrées and dessert in the lobby area for a late-night snack.
Internet is free in all the rooms and there is a free shuttle to the airport.

my husband and i stayed at the hyatt in arizona to catch an angels spring training game--our first time. i searched online for the best place to stay and fortunately found and booked a room at the hyatt. staff was friendly and helpful & the room was one of the best i have ever stayed in. i am (unfortunately) very hard to please but the hyatt did this and more. the cozy corner sitting area, the 42" flatscreen, the bed (wow-the bed), the port for all of my husband's techy toys & the great dining area with 24 hour full food service by a push button kiosk. my husband and i do a lot of traveling (hotels & cruises) and i must say the hyatt is one of the best places we have ever stayed.
one little note of warning--the bathroom is a little small but totally understandable to make room for the sitting area with 42" flatscreen tv--no problem. two very positive notes--free wifi & free parking--almost forgot free shuttle within 5 miles.

We stayed at this property while in town for a friends wedding. It was nice and clean, which we expected. Surprisingly I didn't seem to be bothered by the airport, which I was a little nervous about at first. The property is well taken care of and looks brand new. The staff didn't really greet us much when we were in the lobby for anything other than check in/out. But they were present and visible. The breakfast was good and had a lot of options for a continental. I enjoyed the pool, which was heated. It was nice to be able to swim outside in February when you live in Ohio, that was a major bonus. It wasn't hot like a jacuzzi, but it was very warm for the chilly morning. I would stay here again, this being my second stay at HyattPlace I would say that I will stay with them again.

Came here for a business trip. The hotel itself is clean and well maintained, and the rooms are nice and spacious. However, it's near the airport, the highway, the railroad tracks, the Minneapolis 500....

Just coming in from the east coast, and dealing with the time change I wanted to go to bed early, but this was nixed by the fact that the airlines fly almost directly overhead, making it impossible to sleep unless it's 11pm-5am. The highway constantly drones in the background. At 2 am, the train came through and woke me up, blowing it's horn for 5 minutes. The next night, in addition to the "Transportation Symphony" above, apparently some people like to drag race their cars down the isolated strip of road near the hotel.

One of my colleagues stayed at a room at the back of the hotel, which was apparently much quieter. If you feel inclined to stay at this hotel, you might want to try that, but honestly, I think you can probably do much better for your money somewhere else.
