“Ok for short stays”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2012

Stayed for 3 nights. Postive aspects are complimentary breakfast and some rooms offer a great view of Camelback mountain and Tempe Town Lake. The breakfast is the same each morning however and if the hotel has many guests you're lucky to get any hot plate at all. Drawback would be the bathroom is extremely small. The door opens into the room allowing perhaps 3 inches to manuever around the toilet to get to the shower.

Room Tip: Be sure to ask for a view of the mountains.

Very good place to stay for you money, visiting Phoenix or Tempe. Close proximity to airport, but we did not notice noise. Good complimentary breakfast, to start your day. Rooms are not very big but it is enough space. Clean and everything was in working order. Staff members are nice. For your money is actually very good experience. Definitely will stay there again.

We have a group that heads to Arizona every year for spring training. We have stayed at different hotels every year. This one rates at the top of the list! They serve a very nice complimentary breakfast with a wide variety of items. The room was VERY nice with beautiful and up to date furnishings. The bathroom was on the small side, but we were not put out by its size. The hotel is close to the 202 and I 10 so it was very easy for us to get to the different ballparks. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous!! The price was good (We do priceline/hotwire!). We would definitely stay here again!!!

This hotel is located near the airport, which is convenient, but it was noisy. We had a room on the front of the hotel, 5th floor. I would recommend trying to get like a 3rd or 4th floor on the back side of the hotel (it is 6 floors total). The airport noise was bad between 6am and 8am, other than that not a real issue, so if you are an early riser you would be OK. We tried to change rooms but could not as they were booked up. The room itself was fine, housekeeping was slow.. got back at 3pm and room still not cleaned, but like I said the hotel was full. Breakfast was more than adequate, breads, yogurt, good fruit choices, cereal and at least two hot entrees each morning, several juice choices. Staff were friendly. I got a good deal through Priceline, so would consider it again, but only a room in the back.

Room Tip: middle floors in the back would be quieter

Great location near to the airport. However you do hear some planes overhead. Really nice rooms. Big, clean, comfortable, well appointed. Breakfast was excellent.

I stay in a lot of Hyatt Places. Usually a consistent, basic product.

At check in, I listened as the driver that had just brought me from the airport complained to the check in agent (3 feet from me) about how little she made in tips on her shift. Classy...

This Hyatt Place is showing it's age. I can see from other reviews that I'm not alone in getting room with beat up furnishings. Mine also had a nice, large stain on the carpet next to the bed.

The bedding and bathroom appeared clean, and that's all I really want.

My biggest issue with this hotel is that the airport shuttle bus does not begin operation until 6am. If you have a flight before 7:30am or so and plan on using the shuttle, DO NOT STAY HERE. The clerk suggested I take a cab ($20) I walked to the hotel next door, gave the driver there $10 and he was glad to take me on the short trip over to the airport.

I emailed Hyatt with my concerns, they put a bunch of points in my account, but I never heard back directly from the hotel. Apparently management is as poor as the hotel's condition.

Convenient location near the airport, typical conveniences and amenities of the Hyatt Place chain, nice complimentary breakfast. Our room was OK, but looked a little beaten up. The very small bathroom didn't have a bath tub, only had a shower. Overall pretty good value for money though.
