“Great place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2005

Stayed here prior to a flight from PHX. The hotel appears to be somewhat new and the rooms were modern and clean. I got a rate of $71 per night so it was a great deal. There is an Amerisuites next door and from the outside that hotel looks nice as well. The front desk staff was very friendly and called after check in to make sure the room was ok. My only complaint woud be that the ice machine on the 6th floor did not work but the one on the 5th did. No big deal! I didn't use the airport shuttle but it was offered.

Stayed there for the weekend. Nice clean facility, large size rooms. Friends stayed at a different hotel 2 miles closer to the stadium and payed twice as much for a smaller grimier room.

My husband and I stayed here during Ironman Arizona 2005 (supporting a friend). The staff were very nice and accomodating. The rooms were clean and roomy. The daily breakfast was far superior than imagined. Make your own Belgian waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, bagels, yogurt, donuts, toast, english muffins, cereal, fruit, juice, etc... Morning of Ironman, breakfast started at 4am. They even had breakfast grab bags for the triathletes. The hotel is just a few blocks from the transition area. Also, the walk to the hotel was along the same road as the bike and run course, so you could still cheer the athletes on while walking back to the hotel. I would recommend this hotel if you're looking for a nice, clean, affordable place to stay with an awesome breakfast. I didn't hear the planes go overhead considering it's close to the airport. My husband will be participating in Ironman Arizona 2006 and we will definitely be staying in the same place.

Stayed 1 night, over spring break 2005. My family (3 kids and wife) had a fine night there. The airliners pass over about once every 15 mins, but aren't relly that noticeable. The breakfast was very good, they had a few extras like blueberry and strawberry syrup for the waffles, and they kept the food bins stocked. (We stayed at the other SpringHill at Priest and Baseline Rds for three days and could see the contrast -- I wish I could have booked SpringHill Suites Phoenix Tempe/Airport for our entire stay, but it was full.) I would recommed this hotel to anyone. Very clean as well.
