“Quite a nice stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2014

A little hard to find.

Check in was quick. The young woman that checked us in was outgoing gregarious and a great deal of help.

Room is clean and kept nice. Easy access to free internet in room with computer and hand held devices.

Free breakfast a little lacking. Plenty of food; however variety so so.

I will definitely stay here again if I am in the area.

Room Tip: Choose a room on the South side of the building. Recommended by the desk clerk when we checked in.

The hotel was great. Our room was nice and clean. Like most Springhill Suites, I'm guessing, they had the usual complimentary lollipops, which are always great if you have some young kids or a sweet tooth. Breakfast was great. Location was nice too. We weren't downtown Phoenix which it's sometimes nice not to be in downtown because of traffic and noise. But, it wasn't too far away from the airport. Planes do fly over the hotel all the time but you can barely hear them. Overall, great stay and great location.

I travel to this area often for work, and I usually stay at a different hotel. On the suggestion of a co-worker, I tried Springhill Suites. I was scheduled for 2 nights, but only stayed one! I checked out and went back to my usual hotel, which is much nicer for the same price. Don't get me wrong, there was nothing disgusting about this property. It seemed clean and well lit. But it was super dull, and the room amenities were mobile home quality. The whole place is in serious need of a makeover, and it could use a splash of color. Literally. Whoever decorated was a big fan of beige and white. I've been in hospitals that are cozier. Other negatives are no food options on site (that little display cabinet of microwavable for purchase does not count), and a very tiny pool. That said, the staff was very polite and helpful, and the bed was very comfortable.

Room Tip: Do like I did. Check out and go to the hotel next door.

We left our vehicle in the parking lot for a few trips and were very pleased upon our return. The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is comprehensive. The free park-n-fly benefit makes this our go-to hotel for trips out of Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. We could have used a restaurant within walking distance, although the Hyatt next door has a small bar that stays open until 11:30 p.m.

This is a fairly typical SpringHill property as far as accommodations go and is very convenient to the airport, but what really stood out was the customer service we received during our brief, overnight stay. It started with the airport shuttle driver that picked us up late Thursday night who was very patient and helpful as we tried to coordinate a pick up between two different terminals. Then the people at the front desk, both at check in and in the morning, were very pleasant and helpful with the requests we had for late check out and local transportation. I wish I had done a better job of getting names!!

We stayed here on an overnight to attend a play at Gammage Auditorium. It was about a 10 minute drive from the hotel to the Mill Ave district and the Tempe Lake beach area. The hotel is very clean and modern as it has been recently been remodeled. The complimentary breakfast was very well stocked. It not only had the usual cereals, rolls, juices, etc. but also hot scrambled eggs and sausage. All in all it was a pleasant stay, convenient to the Tempe entertainment area and the ASU campus.

Good hotel convenient to airport . Roomy suite with odd furnishings-no drawers to put clothes in. I asked about it and they said it was just part of the design. Nice pool and workout room. The front desk had a great local breakfast recommendation-Harlows close by.

Room Tip: Need to book at least several weeks in advance during spring training.
