“Great location, angry desk clerk”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2013 via mobile

Great location, across from ASU. Rooms have been renovated to bring them to a little higher standard. Room not cleaned real well. Microwave and fridge was nice. Pool. Right next to ihop a plus. The front desk clerk on duty the night we checked in was not fit to interact with the public. She was rude, abrasive, demeaning to everyone who was waiting in the lobby. Her one phrase was " I don't need this". Well we didn't need her attitude. Overall, not a bad place for what it is, but the customer service was horrible.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Twin Palms. It was very clean and the receptionest at the desk was very friendly and helpful. Great location -- near ASU and the many triathlon events that they hold in Tempe each year. Bathrooms were a little small. Very quiet hotel.

I thought the Twin Palms was the perfect place to stay to attend any function around ASU or to attend the many triathlon events they the city holds every year. It is clean and desk personnel were very helpful and friendly.

The hotel was very homie and didn't seem like one of those overpriced professional hotels. The staff was friendly and they always accommodated to my needs. Because the hotel is small and there is not a lot of things going on, you can definitely relax and have a really good nights sleep. And they have a down stairs bar :)

Very clean but not the most modern. Bathroom was a bit dated and quite small. Outdoor pool area was beautiful! Front desk staff wonderful. Right across the street from ASU. A few restaurants within walking distance. On site laundry and complimentary use of ASU's gym. Fridge and microwave in room. Most rooms have a baucony or at least a large sliding door.

I stayed at this hotel a long time ago but it has stood out in my mind more than most expensive fancy hotels I have stayed at. I missed a flight out of Phoenix and the airline gave me a voucher for this hotel or the voucher worked at this hotel, I don't remember. I believe I heard that the hotel is owned by a very cool woman in Tempe. The place is pink everywhere. Small lounge but very fun. Even the people at the reception desk were fun.

Good time.

I booked a room for Aug 5 (online), as a contingency for my nephew who was moving into an apartment that weekend at ASU. As the apartment was ready, I called on Aug 4 to cancel, and the staff told me it was canceled, and that I will not be billed. However, I was billed, and curiously for Monday night (Aug 6). I have spoken to their GM, Ms. Pat and she initially denied there was any call made to cancel. Then, she informed me that there were three reservations under my name and two were canceled but not the third. I made only one reservation, and not for Aug 6. When I questioned her today on this, the she hung up on me.

I have initiated a review with my credit card company.

Please be careful. There are plenty of good choices in and around ASU, all within 10 minutes driving.
