“Don't be deceived by a few good reviews”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 days ago NEW

We were desperate to find a room in the Phoenix area, as everything was unavailable. Based on a few good reviews, we thought we had no other choice than this motel.
First, the evening clerk was very pleasant and did his best to accommodate us when we discovered we were assigned to a smoking room dispute our reservation request for non-smoking. We did observe that there are no signs designating non-smoking rooms. The clerk talked about an ionizer that supposedly freshens the air and this may be their way of dealing with non-smoking requests. Trying to offer positive words, our beds were satisfactory, the linen clean and we had plenty of hot water in the shower.
Now to the not so positive. Our room had no chair, no Kleenex or other toiletries except two soap bars. The space was stripped. The lamps were dilapidated and broken with stained shades and a soiled base on the barely standing floor lamp. The bedspreads were for something much larger and the carpet was torn. The tub was old and damaged, missing fixtures with a constant drip. I kept a towel in the bottom of the tub to avoid direct contact because the surface was so stained. This facility is completely uncared for and disgusting. We only stayed because we had no alternatives.
Don't support this kind of business model. It really is awful!!

1. Room smelled of smoke and wet dogs.
2. Carpet was sticky and gross.
3. Blood stains on bed linens.
4. TV only had about 10-15 channels and we could not watch because of horrible reception.
5. We had to take our room keys to the front desk several times because they would not work.
6. We requested bath towels and never received.
7. Housekeeping was horrible! They came in our room one time, made one bed, and did nothing else, not even take out our trash, we had to do it.
8. Last and final straw was a dog that kept barking/whining/howling/scratching in the bathroom adjoining ours---UNTIL 4:00 a.m.!!! My husband called the front desk two times, which was met with laughs and argument by the employees and he went down to the lobby once. They finally went to the room next to ours and discovered that there was indeed a dog inside! I received about two hours of sleep that night.

We planned on staying at this hotel for 5 nights. We only stayed 3 because of the horrible experience. Serenity, a manager, was the only bright spot. She did end up reimbursing us for two nights that we were not going to stay and the night the dog kept us up. We were extremely disappointed with our stay.

Room Tip: A completely different hotel!!!

The staff was excellent!

Even though the carpet was stained and the two skimpy towels were thin, I enjoyed the stay because of Ivan and his very solicitous manner.

It's a Motel 6, I stay at them all the time because they don't charge me extra for my chihuahua and often write reviews regarding my stays. You chose the hotel because you wanted an inexpensive bed, however other things do matter--the staff at this hotel ensures that I will be back.

This location takes the bare bones philosophy of Motel 6 to a new low. The bath towels were basically large dish towels. No shampoo, no in room coffee maker. The Capet was badly patched and th shower had a high pitched squeal. The bed and temp control were fine but we cut short ours stay due to the poor quality of accommodations.

Motel 6's vary from location to location. This one used to be a Ramada and is probably why the rooms are larger than most. Was nice sized room. However, housekeeping was very poor (tp on floor, disposable shaver head on floor), obviously not vacuuming, short of towels, etc. Many towels and wash rags are transparent ... really thin. Wifi didn't work after 1st night (stayed 2 nights). Staff didn't know how to reset it. Did refund my money but didn't help me to get my work done. Front desk staff kept saying they were sorry. I guess time will tell ... words are cheap. If they don't take care of the details (first impressions make a big difference) and have their staff do their job, this Motel 6 will be just like all the other terrible ones. And that would be a shame. Charging really high price because of Spring Training season ... not the quality for the price. Just gouging people. They are NOT the Ramada any longer and should not charge as if they were. Took out hairdryer but did have one handy when I asked.

Our experience with Serenity Saycon was just fantastic. She made check in easy and fixed the problem we had with booking.com.
She gave us info for the local area eats and directions to the freeway. She also informed us on some ways we can get a better deal for future reservations. Our room was as expected. The hot tub was warm and the bubble jets seemed to be not working. Overall the stay was pleasant.
