Like many from Phoenix, we jouneyed to the Arizona Wine Country, hoping to sample some homegrown wines and find something reasonably edible to eat. We caught Canela's name from the websites, confirmed through the recommendation of our B&B owner. Our family, my in-laws and a friend, ate there and it has to be one of the best meals we've ever eaten, to rival any top restaurant in Phoenix. We had lamb, sea bass, skirt steak, pumpkin soup, home made chocolate ice cream, brulee, each item better than the last. Service was wonderful, with very friendly help from the folks from the next door Dos Cabezas winery, filling in in a pinch. The entire experience and weekend in the area- friendly, helpful, outgoing, non-pretensious people everywhere, good wine and fabulous food, will bring us back again. We hope the best for long success to Joy and John, the young owner/chefs.
