We loved the Heritage B & B and would highly recommend it to anyone needing to get away. We were upgraded to a wonderful, cozy room upstairs and loved it way more than we would have liked the one we booked. We really appreciated their customer service and kindness.
The bed was really super nice and it had a fireplace that kept us nice and warm.

We stayed at the Heritage Inn three wonderful nights. Our room was just down the hall from the kitchen…the Mary Maude Porter room. It was spacious with French doors leading out to the back terrace, a lovely fireplace, which we enjoyed sitting in front of with our books. We found it quite cozy.

The Innkeepers were welcoming upon arrival and during our stay. While Joanne cooked, Craig was serving the guests: he made sure each person’s needs were met, and seemed to genuinely enjoy his guests company. From listening and observing, I think everyone felt welcomed and important. When Joanne had a moment between cooking for other guests, she came out to greet us and keep us company. They were both a delight to chat with.

The breakfast was amazing: From the presentation to the taste. Each morning I had the German Babies; my husband had French toast the first morning and it was delicious too. Along with these dishes came a bowl of fresh fruit, two strips of bacon, one or two sausage patties, and a carafe of orange juice, which must have been freshly squeezed, but I am not sure. My husband also had eggs with his French toast so an enormous about of food. And, accolades here for Joanne: She is an amazing cook. After the first morning we found that we had too much food, consequently, the following mornings we asked Joanne and Craig to fix one plate of bacon and sausage for the two of us to share—still a lot of food, but oh so yummy.

My husband discussed with Craig things to do around the area. Craig spent time getting us maps, and menus for restaurants, and even offered his CD on the Petrified Forest, which we took, used, and were most grateful for it. He gave us great suggestions on different sites to see, places to eat, and even times to go—we were not disappointed. There is also a library of movies on cd that we took advantage. I cannot say enough good things and cannot wait to return.

Enjoyed a great week at the B&B, the 'german baby' breakfast is both unique and fantastic. Dress it just like Jo-Anne suggests; slip DiDi (canine) a little bacon at breakfast and you'll have a friend for the stay. The ski resort is a beautiful drive from the B&B and you won't find similar accommodations any closer. The jetted tub was a nice luxury for the sore spots after a day on the slopes, (in room fireplace didn't hurt either). Craig and Jo-Anne are very gracious, beverages and snacks available anytime, nice touches in the room, thick bathrobes etc. Craig even called about the skiing while we dined on the fresh fruit at breakfast. Overall, just a very relaxing place to spend time off.

I took my wife, father and mother in law , along with my 11 and 13 y.o. boys here a couple of days before Thanksgiving. Grandma and Grandpa were worried about staying someplace nice. Needless to say this was beyond nice. All three rooms were clean and comfortable. They were very quaint and had all the extras you could think of. Craig and Joanne showed us where all the movies were and the hot tub. They gave us great recommendations for local restaurants. They also gave us a CD that was a self guided tour of the petrified forest/painted desert. This helped a ton. I did see couples staying here and families. The inn has a nice fountain outside and is just what you would want from a B&B. I really can not say enough good things about this place and especially Craig and Joanne, but I will say the breakfast was my favorite. They have a special called German Babies that are fantastic. If you are visiting the area and going to see the petrified forest then it is worth the 30 minute drive to stay here and not in Holbrook (closest town to the petrified forest).
