I spent three years in Germany eating food just like this! This is excellent stuff, folks! The service was remarkable, the food was even more so. The price is a bit much - $36 after tip for two for lunch. The prices and portions are much better suited for special occasions or dinners.
They would do well to have a reduced-price lunch menu with 1/2 schnitzel sandwiches or curry wurst on a brotchen and a choice of side to go for six or seven bucks.
As it stands I will definitely go back - many times before my next assignment!
The schnitzels are HUGE! and the jaeger sauce is authentic and good. My guest and I tried the sauerkraut, bread dumplings (like balls of stuffing), hot potato salad and home-style fried potatoes. I also threw in a brotchen and butter for a buck. As a food snob, I must say, I am VERY impressed and I highly recommend it to anyone who asks for one of the best places to eat in town!
We were too stuffed for dessert so we'll have to try it next time!
