“Just what we needed!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2012

We stayed at the Canyon Lodge in Seligman for one night and found it to be very clean and a great value for the price. Beds were very comfy which is exactly what we needed as this was the night before our 3-day backpacking adventure into Havasu Falls began. Owner was very friendly and helpful as well, even offering the option of leaving our rental car parked in the hotel lot while we were on our hike. We stayed in the "Honeymoon" room, which was decorated like a Las Vegas Wedding Suite, one entire wall was mirrors!

12 nights on the road so far and this is our favourite accommodation and also the lowest cost.

Immaculately decorated, very well equipped and comfortable beds with loads of pillows.

The rooms are slightly smaller than most and we only had a shower, no bath but these were utterly irrelevant to our enjoyment of Canyon Lodge.

Great place - thank you fellow tripadvisors for the advice. Inexpensive, very clean and really fun rooms, comfy beds, and continental breakfast in the price. Nice owner, Rheinhart, who is proud to show of his various rooms - Marilyn Munroe won over Harleys, Elvis, 50s, etc. All beautifully decorated but not cluttered. Rooms well kitted out with microwave, fridge and coffee maker. A real find and perfect launch pad for the Grand Canyon.

We stayed here this last weekend on a road trip back from CA. The room was clean and comfortable. The only issue was the firm mattress on the bed. We're not used to such a firm mattress and were stiff by the morning.

Staff are super nice and helpful. And the rates are better than fair. The rooms have been updated and are very comfortable, with a nod toward the general kitsch of the area. This is as close to luxury as you will find in this region. The accommodations are basic but clean. And you will enjoy quiet comfort after a day in the desert or canyons. The gem here is the staff - nice, polite, local, and genuine "good people". Don't expect big city accommodations and you won't be disappointed.

It is easy to miss this gem, as the outside of the hotel reflects its historic past and looks kind of like any other Route 66 hotel. But don't drive past it! If you plan to visit any area within a couple of hours of Seligman, you'll want to stay at the Canyon Lodge.

Our group had five rooms at the Canyon Lodge recently as we got ready to hike down to Havasupai Falls and Supai village. We were delighted with the rooms, each uniquely decorated for famous people, places and things. It was obvious that the owners love their piece of history, and delight in sharing it with us travelers.

The beds were comfortable, the rooms were very clean, and the management went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed, including providing us with extra tiny shampoos that we could easily carry down the eight mile Supai trail.

We enjoyed our evening gathering on the 2nd floor deck over the lobby, as well as the seating areas and flowering trees at the edge of the parking lot. Their recommendation for restaurants was spot on (we ate at Westside Lalo's Cafe for every meal - great food, huge shareable portions, and engaging staff), and if you show your room key at Lalo's you even get a discount on your food.)

We will be sure to stay here again when we pass through Seligman, and would recommend it highly to anyone traveling historic Route 66 or visiting the Grand Canyon.

Room Tip: If you have a favorite type of room decoration, make that request and if they can, you will be accom...

If you are planning a trip to the Grand Canyon, this is a good place to stop for the night. Clean, comfortable and friendly. I will be visiting this place again.

Room Tip: The Elvis room had a very comfortable bed.
