“Redrocks Everywhere...breathtaking... got to go!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2006

My sister and I got back from Sedona last week. Absolutely breathtaking and beautiful. We stayed at the Fairfield Resort, very nice, great views and centrally located. Our first day or should I say evening (very long trip from New England) we drove around, got familiar with the viillage and planned our next few days. We ate at Casa Rincon, the best Mexican food and margaritas I've ever had. They also have entertainment. Our next day we drove to Jerome (about a 40 min scenic drive, as a matter of fact all the drives are scenic). Jerome is an old ghost-mining town nestled on the the side of a mountain. Great shops so be prepared to walk. We had lunch at the Asylum, another great restuarant in the Grand Hotel. It's at the top of the mountain and was the former town hospital, now said to be haunted. The Connor Hotel also has had some ghosts, check it out. In the afternoon we had appts for a psychic tarot card reading. She was very accurate. Anyway, there are alot of psychics, crystal shops, spiritual readers/healing etc. We went to "Deva" but Nirrup was recommended (she was sick that day) She's in the candle and bath store in Singua (sp?)Plaza. The rest of the day we spent shopping and had dinner at Joey's Bistro (in the Tlaquepague Arts and Crafts Village). The shops here are pricey, lots of galleries and boutiques. Joey's had excellent food. Our next day we set off early to check out the vortexes and views. Went on Airport Rd, climbed the rock to the top to the vortex. For me I felt a relaxing, calming feeling at this vortex. Also went to Chapel of the Holy Cross, where another vortex exists. Beautiful views and again very relaxing and calming. On to Bell Rock and lastly Cathedral Rock. That afternoon we went on the Verde Canyon Railroad tour. It was nice, great views, but very long *4hours).. If you want a passive tour this is the one to take otherwise skip it. Dinner that night was at Picasso's Pizza, delicious. All the restuarants were casual, we never wore our dressier clothes and as far as night life, everything shuts down pretty early. Our last day we spent doing a jeep tour/horse back riding adventure (a day in the west tour company). The jeep tour was a blast and exhilerating (this one went to lost canyon). Our guide was very knowledgeable and took us on a great ride. The horse back riding was for an hour, that was fun too. Luckily we scheduled our spa massages that afternoon to work out the kinks from horse back riding. We went to Sedona Rouge Hotel & Spa. What a great job they did! Get the deep tissue/hot rock massage. We ate dinner that night at Cucina Rustica, again delicious. Didn't get a chance to do the Grand Canyon, next time. Make sure you rent a car. Next time we'll do more self-guided tours and some hiking. People were very friendly, noticed most were not from the area. A very beautiful, relaxing, magical place, would go back in a heartbeat. :-)

“Natural Beauty”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2006

Sedona was an area about which I was initially leery. Sometimes when people talk alot about an area, I tend to be cynical. I was pleasantly surprised when we approached Sedona. It was really picturesque! In visiting the town itself - we found it to be full of shops and local charm. We were only there for one day and night, but would happily go back and do more exploring. One thing we really want to do is to take a jeep ride back into the country. There are several companies who do different types of tours from educational/historical to just plain rollicking fun. A really naturally lovely place with beautiful rock formations!

“Beautiful and Relaxing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2005

We live in Arizona so a weekend drive to Sedona is always fun. It is beautiful and all the wonderful things you may have heard about it are all true. It's never boring to visit even if it's a drive through. Stop along and see the wonderful shops, yes expensive, and the natural beauty of the surronding nature.

“There is no beauty like me, my name is Sedona, Arizona”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2005

We started going to Sedona back in 2000. Every year since we have come back for the beauty, peace and spirituality. Now we are looking to move here and raise a family. Each time we have come back we experienced a different spiritual experience. From angels flying in our cabin to GOD whispering in our ears, seeing tree spirits working & dancing, seeing spirits in the mountains and having double rainbows appear before all our eyes. The pictures we took have stories of their own from the lands up to the sky's: crosses, rainbows, stars is just a few to say what we have on film.
We where lucky enough to see Rachells Knoll for two years until it was destroyed by a golf course. The beauty in this shall always remain it was a piece of history that no one can take away.
Sedona is very spiritual and if you don't belive than when you come you shall see the colors are so bright. The beauty is enough to make you want to leave the old behind. We stay at Don Hoel's Cabin #9 every year and you truely are away from all of the world when you stay here, it has no tvs, phones any thing that will remind you of home. It is simple for those of us who understand what the world was meant to be.
It is so breathe taking you must come and see for yourself. We also got baptized at Church of Christ and that made our trip even more spiritual & when you go into the creeks your soul is refreshed from the natural springs that you become alive it feels so good on your skin. We also attended St.Vianneys Catholic Church for a Sunday service and it was like an angel voice singing an song for the heavens.
All the towns people are so friendly that you wonder how can this be? Is this place for real or am I going insane.
The art work is worth seeing along with the shops of many different things to buy and hikes, ooo how could I forget to tell you about the vortexes. There are many you must see & feel, I love rachell's knoll, airport mesa & cathedral rock but you will have too hike them all to see what many others only talk about.
Sedona is the place to be it is all about the beauty thats in everything many of us forget to take the time to see. K. Lucaj
