“Stay here! Call it "THE BEST Western"”

Best Western Arroyo Roble Hotel & Creekside Villas

We stayed here as part of a multileg trip through Arizona that included Grand Canyon and Scottsdale. Like others who have written on this site, we were wary of staying at a Best Western, which have the reputation of being no more than clean motels, nothing exciting. However, on the recommendation of my sister in law who stayed here last year, we took a chance and booked a three night stay. Suffice it to say, we were quite impressed. We were greeted by a cheerful young man at the desk named Josh, who immediately changed our room from the second floor room which was originally assigned to us to the 4th floor for a better view of the red rocks. The room was large, very clean, and tastefully decorated. The bed was quite comfortable, on par with the much touted Westin "heavenly bed". The bathroom was spotless, and the grout by the tub was pearly white, no mold at all. The view out the terrace was beautiful. There are two pools, an outdoor pool behind the main building, and a second indoor-outdoor pool in the villa section of the complex next door. There are also two tennis courts, a health club, and a bar-b-que area adjacent to oak creek. Breakfast is included, served cafeteria style, but the food was varied and tasty. The only complaint was that the coffee could have been a bit better.
Location is excellent, within walking distance of Pink Jeep (should be a mandatory part of any trip to Sedona, book the two hour broken arrow tour!) shops, galleries, etc.
Sedona is beautiful, and our stay at Best Western Arroyo Roble only made it better!

“Cottage was awesome!”

Best Western Arroyo Roble Hotel & Creekside Villas

Jul 10, 2008

We stayed in the cottage unit here, and it was absolutely perfect for our family of 5. I didn't know about it, although I now see it on there website, when I booked last summer for our stay last week. (Yes, I plan ahead!) The nice girl on the phone suggested this may be a good fit for our family, and she was certainly right! Two bedrooms, living room, bathroom, and kitchenette, all in a separate building from the hotel and villas. Very private, and beautifully decorated! It's not much to look at from the exterior, but who is standing around looking at the exterior! I give it an A+ rating, and very reasonable for what you get. The front desk staff were very attentive and friendly, and I even got a chance to chat with the manager, who was also very interested in our stay and that we were pleased. Highly recommend it!

“A Wonderful Experience !!”

Best Western Arroyo Roble Hotel & Creekside Villas

Jul 8, 2008

After reading the reviews on Trip Advisor, we took a gamble and booked the Best Western. How lucky we were!!! On June 24th, after a long flight from Boston to Las Vegas and the subsequent four and one half hour trip to Sedona, we were exhausted !!! We arrived at the Best Western at six p.m. and were greeted by two helpful and smiling young people. They could not have been more helpful or nicer !!! They gave us ideas for a quick light dinner, and even helped to make reservations for a Pink Jeep Tour the next day. Samantha, the young woman, booked the hard to get Broken Arrow Tour and even arranged for us to get a discount !!!!
We went to our room which was a King Bed with a private balcony on the fourth floor overlooking the pool and the majestic red rocks. The room was clean and set up perfectly for us. As I gazed at the magnificent scenery, I was in awe. I think the only thing missing was John Wayne and a horse !!!!! After appetizers and a drink at the Cowboy Club,( Yes, I tried the cactus fries.... No, I did not try the rattlesnake,) we settled in for a well deserved rest.
The next day, we ate a nice breakfast at the hotel out on the deck. It was a simple and adequate meal ......again distinguished by the helpful and pleasant employees. We headed out for th Pink Jeep Tour given by Daniel..... a fabulous experience....then a snack....and then a trip to the Sedona airport to see the sun set. It was a great trip and a great hotel. The hotel met our needs as sightseers who wanted a great view and a lovely clean hotel staffed by wonderful people. I would stay there again in a second !!!!

“Fantastic Awesome Place!”

Best Western Arroyo Roble Hotel & Creekside Villas

This two story "home away from home" was absolutely fantastic. LOVED it. I must admit, our entire party of 7 was a bit skeptical about the "Best Western" name...........but BELIEVE ME, this place dispels those myths.

We had a 2-story villa with a gorgeous patio and running creek in the back. Nearby is a playground and very clean and tidy grilling area with SEVERAL grills.

The pool was great. The staff was great. Our condo was the best.........clean/ spacious/ great bed/ great sheets.

And, the property is within walking distance of the shops and restaurants and beautiful "downtown" Sedona.

ONE complaint.............we only stayed ONE NIGH!

“Good Location & Views”

We stayed here for one night, and have nothing but good things to say about this hotel.

We had booked a double queen room facing the red rocks, and the view was truly spectacular from the balcony. The rooms were also nicely furnished, although operating the television left something to be desired. However, we didn't really care much for that little shortcoming.

We also made use of the indoor/outdoor pool that was a short walk away - being part of the villas. A little further down was Oak Creek, a portion of which is on hotel property, where you can spend a very relaxing time away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Sedona.

Overall an excellent stay.
