We stayed here as part of a multileg trip through Arizona that included Grand Canyon and Scottsdale. Like others who have written on this site, we were wary of staying at a Best Western, which have the reputation of being no more than clean motels, nothing exciting. However, on the recommendation of my sister in law who stayed here last year, we took a chance and booked a three night stay. Suffice it to say, we were quite impressed. We were greeted by a cheerful young man at the desk named Josh, who immediately changed our room from the second floor room which was originally assigned to us to the 4th floor for a better view of the red rocks. The room was large, very clean, and tastefully decorated. The bed was quite comfortable, on par with the much touted Westin "heavenly bed". The bathroom was spotless, and the grout by the tub was pearly white, no mold at all. The view out the terrace was beautiful. There are two pools, an outdoor pool behind the main building, and a second indoor-outdoor pool in the villa section of the complex next door. There are also two tennis courts, a health club, and a bar-b-que area adjacent to oak creek. Breakfast is included, served cafeteria style, but the food was varied and tasty. The only complaint was that the coffee could have been a bit better.
Location is excellent, within walking distance of Pink Jeep (should be a mandatory part of any trip to Sedona, book the two hour broken arrow tour!) shops, galleries, etc.
Sedona is beautiful, and our stay at Best Western Arroyo Roble only made it better!
