I checked out this hotel in September of 2001 when I wasn't happy with the service at the Hampton Inn where I was staying.
Upon my return to Sedona on 9/22-23 my mother and I decided to try to Comfort Inn since we liked the looks of it in 2001. (We are both very picky/selective as to where we'll stay.)
We had a nice sized room on the ground floor and the bathroom was spacious too. (I'm not sure if the size of the room was because we were in a handicapped room - it was the only thing they had available.) The room was very quiet and not too far off the lobby.
Of note however, don't expect to get full at the continental breakfast - it's only cereal and toast. But there is a wonderful restaurant at the Quality Inn next door and I highly recommend breakfast at the Orchard Restaurant down on "the strip" - Highway 89A.
Also, if you have a lot of luggage be sure and ask for a ground floor room as there is no elevator.
Regardless, I plan on staying here again on my next visit to Sedona. I would recommend it to anyone. The accomodations were nicer than some hotels in the area I've paid more for.
