“A Good Option”

Comfort Inn

West Palm Beach, Florida

Comfort Inns can vary greatly from place to place and from good to poor - Sedona's Comfort Inn is a good find! Note right from the start that this motel does not have an elevator (it was explained to us that Sedona has elevator restrictions?). The layout of the hotel should have placed the second floor stairwells in the center of the structure. We had a second floor room that not only required carrying our luggage up the steps but then back down the entire full length of the building once we got up there! It even winded our teenagers. However, the view from our room was worth the walk, yet ask for ground floor if "hiking" is a prolbem for you. We enjoyed the room's southwestern decor and cleanliness, and we were very happy with the Inn's location in relation to downtown Sedona - out of the way from the main strip hub-bub, but very close to the action. Don't forget to go out to the parking lot and look up at the hotel to get the view of the inn's own red rocks, especially at sunset. We didn't realize how nice the view was from the road was until it was almost too late. Slide Rock Park down Oak Creek Canyon is a MUST for both young and old!

“Wedding party dissed”

Comfort Inn

Aug 7, 2008

My Sister and I and our families went up for our brothers wedding the first weekend in August. My brother booked 22 rooms and was to be given a suite which is usually comped in most resorts. When we all arrived there was no suite for the groom and he was mistreated by the manager who stated He was in-charge and that this Hotel is solely owned and He answers to no one. Because of the disagreement with the groom the front desk was unprofessional towards most of us. I have stayed in 5 star hotels and have never seen this level of disrespect for customers. Our only mistake in such a breathtaking place was not booking at a different hotel.

“Great Location”

Comfort Inn

Jul 22, 2008

The location was great. It was just outside of the downtown business section of Sedona but still convenient to everything we were interested in doing. We did not notice any noise from the road construction that is currently going on. We specifically asked for a room on the 2nd floor and I think that was a good thing because there were a few kids running the hallway upstairs. The room was very comfortable and it had everything we needed. The breakfast was good and the staff was helpful.

We would definitely stay there again in the future when we return to Sedona for our next visit.

“Great!”

Comfort Inn

Jul 6, 2008

Very good experience! The room had a patio that opened right to the pool area. Very large hot tub which was a great way to ease achy muscles after a day of hiking. Restaurants and shopping either a short drive or easy walk. One of the trailheads to Marg's Draw is right up the street and gets you to great hiking immediately. As far as the hotel, very friendly staff, great breakfast included, room was somewhat small, but just fine, large bathroom. Fridge in the room so you can keep drinks and snacks. Hairdryer mounted on the wall in the bathroom. The only thing missing is the views that some hotels in Sedona have. All in all, I recommend this hotel for location and nice pool area. Great value for the price.

“Hard To Get To But Worth It”

Comfort Inn

Jun 18, 2008

Excellent value for this high priced town. First there is road construction that makes things out front a mess but that will go away some day. Second, don't know if its a Sedona thing or what but exterior signs are not prominently displayed and what you would see coming in from town are concealed by trees. All you need to know tho is that its the purple building (yes all of it).

Beyond that we had a great room, spacious, clean, quiet, refrigerator no microwave. We were on the first floor so lack of an elevator wasn't an issue. Breakfast was typical (with waffles) but didn't start til 7 and no coffee out prior. Desk indicated wifi might be weak outside of lobby area but I didn't have any problems.

Excellent restaurant (Cafe Elote) next door at Kings Ransom. Staff was very helpful and accomodating.
