“Great spot among Red Rocks”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2013

Very nice and clean Hilton. Friendly staff, with above average accommodations. Excellent views, nice pools and good bars and restaurant.

Couple of negatives.... First, the property is not really in Sedona.... It's about 4-5 miles south of downtown Sedona, and they do not have a hotel shuttle to town. You are on your own. Second, being on eastern time, and a fairly early riser, I noticed they don't put out coffee in lobby until 6 ish, and the breakfast isn't open until 6:30....

Back to some pluses, great golf course on site, and an awesome restaurant a short golf cart ride away (Cusina Rustica)....

Overall, a very positive experience in Sedona(oak creek)

Hallelujah! Finally, a hotel where everything works perfectly for a wheelchair user! We stayed for six nights in a 2-queen accessible suite with a roll-in shower. The room was very spacious, with plenty of room for the wheelchair to move about and maneuver in the bedroom, bathroom and living room. The roll-in shower was easily accessible, had a sturdy and safe pull-down shower bench supported by four legs, the controls were within reach, and the height of the hand-held shower was easily adjustable. There are lifts to get wheelchair users into the pools and hot tub, but my husband did not try them.

This is a gorgeous, luxurious hotel, with very beautiful rooms, facilities, grounds, and outdoor spaces, and every place is well-ramped. We had no problems and enjoyed every aspect of our stay, especially lounging on the pool deck and dining outdoors.

On parking: None of the handicapped parking spaces are specifically van accessible (in California, the van accessible spaces have a wider cross-hatched area), however all the handicap spaces are extra wide, so there was never a problem with the next car being too close.

On ordering breakfast in the hotel: I eat a small breakfast, just a bowl of plain oatmeal. On the menu, the plain oatmeal was available only with the full breakfast buffet, which cost $12. When I told the server I couldn't eat that much, she brought me a side order of oatmeal for $5.85. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful.

A beautiful golf Resort in the desert. If you're not a golfer, however, this hotel doesn't have much to offer. It's pretty but it's a bit of a trek to get anywhere, especially if your destination is Sedona. The full kitchen was a bonus.

While I am not sure I would go so far as calling it a "Resort" the Hilton Sedona is certainly a very nice place to stay. Our room was huge and super comfortable, the staff were mostly friendly, the food at the restaurant was super tasty, and the scenery can not be compared to!

Our room overlooked the family pool - there are three pools on the property, an adult pool on one side of the hotel, a family pool on the other, and a lap pool at the spa. The family pool closed early, so we never had any issues with noise even though our room was right there. We had a fireplace too, which was super romantic and cute. The pool lit up at night was actually really pretty, too, so that was a bonus. We had a deluxe king suite, which had a little kitchenette (microwave and mini fridge, sink and counter) with a dining table area, a living room, a balcony with seats and a little table, the bedroom, the sink area, and the toilet/shower. It was huge and it felt like a home instead of a hotel which was really nice.

We had massages at the spa which were great. The spa also features fitness classes, a great sized gym with lots of machines, locker rooms with steam rooms and jacuzzis and really nice showers.

The location is ok - its certainly very quiet and beautiful. But it is a 20 minute drive to almost everything else in the area. Not that that bothered us since those 20 minutes were filled with AMAZING red rock views!

I think the hotel must have read some of the bad reviews and took care of some things because the hotel was spotless when I was there, and the room we had was not in any disrepair at all. I will say some of the staff would kind of blank stare at you if you had a question. But I would say at least 70% of the time, everyone working was extremely nice and helpful.

Room Tip: Apparently the great view rooms are not the nicest rooms which are more on the inside of the hotel w...

Enjoyed our stay. Liked the fact that it was located outside of the crazy down town of Sedona. Great pool. Patio is small but in Sedona should be outside anyway. Great fire pit on restaurant patio to enjoy a drink or two.

Beautiful resort and room, has all amenities, great customer service. We had a beautiful view of the red rocks of Sedona from our room. The restaurant had delicious meals -- we had both dinner and breakfast there. Both servers were very attentive. Because we were there only one night, we did not get a chance to take advantage of the golf or spa, but look forward to visiting again. Very convenient to all Sedona attractions.

I spent the past weekend at this resort with my son (5 yrs old) and found that the staff there takes extra effort for you to enjoy your stay as much as possible. At check in they suggested we check out some games for our room. They had a huge selection of games for all ages and this certainly added to my sons fun. The next morning we were headed out for a hike. They were a huge help with directions and even gave my son a kids pair of binoculars.

While at the resort we took advantage of room service twice. Both times the order was exactly as specified. We had the bison meatloaf and five cheese mac and cheese. Both were delicious. The person delivering was the same both evenings and she was so nice and very personable. Again, the people here make the difference.

In regards to the room we had a king suite with a golf view. The room was large with plenty of room. It was nicely decorated and had everything we needed.

I would absolutely stay here again.
