“Sedona, AZ get away”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

Very accommodating and great place to stay and visit. I would recommend the Hilton to anyone thinking about visiting Sedona, AZ. Great accomodations and the service was very good as well. the Spa and pool service was exceptional and the personnel are very helpful. You wouldn't be disappointed with your stay at the Hilton. Check it out.

My husband and I stayed at the Hilton Sedona Resort and Spa for five nights. The hotel is on a hill in the Village of Oak Creek. You have a grand view of the rock formations this are is famous for. The hotel lobby is really nice, we spent some time there having coffee with our golden retriever will our room was cleaned in the mornings. The hotel has three pool/hot tub areas, all of which are really nice. We used the larger pool area the most where the pool has two levels and a hot tub tucked away. The landscaping around the property is very attractive as well, desert plants. The spa, where the lap pool is located, offers a full gym as well as steam, sauna and fitness classes that begin about 7 am and run though the day. I believe everyone is charged $18/day fee, per room, for these facilities, but it is well worth the price. We ate at the hotel resturant twice; the food was good, especially the fish tacos. The prices were a little high, you can go out especially for burgers or sandwiches in town for a better value. We also played golf at the adjoining golf club. The course is in great shape and absolutely beautiful. We got a good deal here ($35/person with cart) plus a small bag of range balls and 10% off at the pro shop. We had a king suite with kitchenette and living room with a fireplace. The bedroom was really large and the bed comfy. The suite was quite nice and had a nice balcony off the living room. I have seen some reviews that complained about the tiny balcony; some rooms do have small ones; but ours was roomy enough for sitting outside with a glass of wine and admiring the scenery. Overall we had a great time with all there is to do in the area. We hiked, visited art galleries, took a side trip to Jerome, took in a film at the Sedona Film Featival and golfed. Next time we will bring our bikes and tennis rackets. Hilton Sedona is a good value for a super nice resort and dog friendly! Oh and the weather, though 105 degrees in Pheonix, was in the 80s in Sedona.

Room Tip: Views are better on the upper floors. Views on the formations are more to the north. The king junio...

This hotel is nomwhere near the Hilton standard. This seems to be a converted La Quinta or something. The walls were paler thjn, the pillows were terrible and the bed was even worse. Nice friendlt front desk staff. The restuarant staff were not at all friendly and acted as though you were bothering them. I will be trying some of the other hotels jn the area as I love Sedona, but cant imagine another stay here.

Room Tip: This hotel is sctually in Oak Creek. Sendona city center is 7 miles away. Stay in closer and enjoy b...

My wife and I visited the Hilton Sedona Resort and Spa to celebrate her birthday. The hotel is clean, updated and very comfortable. More importantly, the staff members were all friendly and eager to serve us. The resturant service and food was excellent. It is a good location to stay put and enjoy all the services, or use it as home base to visit nearby red rock country or perhaps the Grand Canyon.

Almost any hotel or restaurant in this area should be able to muster a good rating because your surroundings are breathtaking! This Hilton is a bit long in the tooth but still made a great place to stay while touring the area. Built into the side of a hill about 10 miles from Sedona proper gave this place great curb appeal and a peaceful feel.

The room was large, had a spectacular view and had a refrigerator and microwave to help keep food costs down and reheat the leftovers. The bed was comfortable and the furnishings dated. Worn carpets and an odd layout of pools, restaurants, spa and gift shop didn't make it hard to not hang out on the property. In Sedona, it's all about being outdoors so this didn't drag us down.

The hotel staff was good and knowledgeable, see the Concierge for all activities as there is a wealth of knowledge there. We spent our days and evenings out and about so we didn't eat a single meal on property. Upon our return in the evening, we had a nicely cleaned and cool room.

All in all, we would return to this area and not hesitate to stay here.

We decided on a last minute weekend getaway for labor day weekend. We were very happy with this property....especially that it has tennis courts (included with resort fee), kids pool and nice restaurant on property. For only $5 you can purchase a smores kit and have fun. The room was nice, bed very comfortable! We had a king suite which offered privacy and nice pull out bed in its own room. Loved that they included breakfast and kids eat free - great buffet and breakfast food.

Victor (restaurant) and the golf cart guy that drove us (wish I had gotten his name) delivered A+ service!

The only suggestion is that the desk staff were not that knowledgeable and incredibly unapologetic when I shared they gave me the wrong directions to a restaurant we were looking for. Need to be more friendly and engaging when checking in guests. Very vague when pointing on map to where room located.

This hotel is just as you drive into town which was great because we were able to avoid the holiday traffic, however, it is a 15 min drive from the heart of shopping and town if you want to be in the middle of things.

I am staying at the Hilton Sedona right now, our group (8 of us) have spent four days here exploring the area and the Grand Canyon.

The hotel is very clean, the restaurant is excellent and there are so many other restaurants to choose from in town.

The staff very friendly and happy to give you help and advice on where to go and what to see.

I don't really understand all these reviews that are negative about the hotel simply because of the location. The hilton is in Oak Creek. It's a 10 minute drive to the heart if Sedona, but most of the hotels especially the good ones are based outside the centre of Sedeona. The area is so big and the chances are you will be driving from one end to the other over and over to get to different trails and views that the location doesn't matter.

It's a really short walk to the golf course, the fitness centre and nearby shops.

We stayed in a suite and it was huge. With views of the car park immediately in front then Bell Rock. Amazing.
I would recommend visiting the golf course even if its just to walk around. Beautiful but tough course.
Thanks Hilton we would love to return
