“A Very Good Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2012

I found the Hilton Sedona Resort and Spa to be just what I had been looking for - quiet, comfortable and friendly, and just a bit removed from the bustle of Sedona itself. The staff were uniformly pleasant (especially in the restaurant), the restaurant itself was pleasant and reasonably priced (the breakfasts were particularly good), and the pools and pool areas well kept and serviced. The only (very minor) concern was that there was no desk in the room (I write quite a lot). I will certainly return if I visit Sedona again.

Room Tip: The rooms furthest from the desk and restaurant seem to be the quietest

I loved that this resort is just outside of Sedona. It is quiet. The staff is very friendlyy and helpful. the rooms were very clean and well appointed. the walls were a bit thin and the hallways could use a spruce up. The fitness center is spacious, clean and welcoming. The pools and the outdoor firepits were lovely as well. We did not golf this trip. Near great hiking. I woudl defintely stay again!

The hotel location wasn't ideal but the hotel itself was nice and clean. We ate dinner and had drinks and the bartender seemed overwhelmed and was busy enough to have another bartender on with him. The manager finally stepped in but it was almost too late at that point.
Our room had a fireplace and a nice view. Friendly staff.

I am a diamond member and stay all over the world in Hilton properties. This is the first time I have been disappointed in one of their hotels. I will say, I did little research on the hotel other then looking at their web site. Their web site led me to believe the hotel was backed up against the mountains...unfortunately it is next to a golf course and surrounded by residential properties. In addition, make sure you call for a early checkin even if the room package promotes it.

Rooms were well appointed and had great views - breakfast was fabulous and we also enjoyed a lovely dinner with brilliantly cooked steak and great hostessing. (The wine we wanted was out of stock so we were given a better wine at the same price). I enjoyed the use of the spa and had a very relaxing, professional treatment. It was expensive, so you have to plan to enjoy the facilities - if you are planning on just using a hotel to sleep, I think you wont have time to enjoy the extra touches that made our stay feel it was worth the money.

My husband and I spent 2 nights at this Hilton. We had a one bedroom King suite with a good view. The room had a small kitchen that included a small refrigerator, microwave and sink. Everything was clean and in good condition. Some rooms had robes, ours did not. we requested them but they never arrived. The breakfast in their restaurant was very expensive and the food was good but not good enough for the price. We are Diamond HHonors and even with the $24 credit each day, it was still expensive. We both visited the spa. We did not purchase a service just went to use the facilities. The towels were way too small. I am a size 12 and I could not wrap the towel around me. There are no private areas to change clothes. They did not sanitize the showers between users. They offered no water or any other refreshment. The steam room was very good and the whirlpool was hot so that was good. We did not use the outdoor pool as it was cold outside.

It was okay, nothing special. We only stayed for one night. The room was large, partially because we were upgraded at no cost. It was a difficult place to drive to at night because the car park is badly lit and it is easy to get lost, which we did. A bit pricey if you wanted a drink at the pool.

Hotel is on the outskirts of town so you have to take the car whenever you go out. We ate in the town so can't comment on restaurants etc.

Concierge was very helpful in organising the trip we went on.
