The hotel is away from the main tourist drag, but the town is small and that was no bad thing. It was not too crowded and there was no line to check in or at breakfast.

Rooms were clean, staff were helpful (and told us where there was a nearby laundry), pool was pleasant. Breakfast was the usual fare, but without the hordes, so basically it was all good!

Great location in Sedona away from the main tourist area. Typical Hampton Inn. Clean and fairly new. Easy access to main road, grocery and restaurants.

We took a family trip to Arizona in mid-April and stayed 2 nights at the Hampton Inn in Sedona. We stayed in 3 rooms near each other, with 2 connected by an adjoining door, so the setup was family-friendly. The rooms were very clean and comfortable with a nice decor and the hotel staff was friendly and helpful. There was free Internet access on a computer in the lobby, which was a nice convenience to have and something that many high-end hotels don't even provide yet. We've also stayed at Hampton Inns in Thousand Oaks, CA and Arlington, VA over the past few years and had similarly positive experiences there, too. Would definitely recommend the Hampton Inn in Sedona.

I was not impressed or depressed by this establishment. It was okay.....The rooms were clean, although I did notice a bit of mold on the tile at the bathroom's corner. The location is a bit outside of the more touristy section, which didn't seem to present a problem. There were a few places to eat across the street.

Breakfast was what is to be expected at a Hampton: cereal, yogurt, muffins, bagels, etc. I wasn't overwhelmed, but hey, I know the Hampton routine and it was certainly well-maintained. The staff was very efficient.

When I entered the lobby, I did notice a rather musty odor; it was the kind of smell that says maybe we need to get a new vacumn....I don't know. I have a strong sense of smell so perhaps most people wouldn't notice it. Oh, another thing, and this observation is a bit gross. I stayed in two Arizona Hamptons on this trip and noticed that the bathrooms always have a slight odor, as if one had just ____________. Finally, I figured out that it must have something to do with Hampton's ventilation. Maybe odors from other rooms drift down through the vents? It was weird because I've never noticed the problem before; I have stayed in other Hamptons a lot. But on this trip, we both noticed it more than once. We hadn't even used the restroom and still found it to be ever so slightly smelly :)
