My wife and I stayed at Enchantment in Aug of 05. I feel that it was money well spent. The service, meals, and spa were great. The rooms were huge and the setting is breathtaking. It is a great escape. Will definitely be planning a trip back to Enchantment.

If this were a $100/night motel, it would be acceptable to suffer the litany of errors. But at $395/night these are unacceptable. Upon arrival, I was "greeted" with this list:

-No cell phone/blackberry service. Nowhere is this mentioned on the website or when you reserve.

-The suite was on a low tier and faced a parking lot. I had been promised the view when I explaining that this was a priority while I made reservations back in New York. An upgraded suite (standard with the Platinum Card membership) was not an improvement. A problem, considering that the location has tremendous potential.

-The a/c was broken.

-We were not permitted to dine at the restaurant. Denim is not allowed, even when worn with a hand tailored jacket! Furthermore, I was assured when making a reservatio in advance that an exception would be made; my friend is the CEO of a denim company.

-Needless to say, cancelled the rest of the stay and did not get to explore this hotel further. Yet there was a long line of disgruntled guests, unhappy with everything from the lack of service at the tiny pools to the skimpy golf grounds.

Spendid views from your 10 minute drive from the "y" of Sedona to Enchantment Resort set alone in a beautiful red rock canyon. The resort is only shared by a handful of private homes giving the place a sense of privacy in the canyon. The views continued from our Casita Studio with a kitchenette and the large patio with a built-in gas grill. Beautiful room and bath -- as shown on their website. We had a Murphy bed and it was great -- very comfortable and was put away during the day to enjoy your spacious den and fireplace.

The casual cafe with beautiful views was a perfect spot to have a drink and enjoy the views as well as their more formal dining area with unobstucted views of the canyon. Excellent service and 4/5 for food quality.

The main pool had the same outstanding views and bar/snack service is available. We saw more families there than we did at our satellite pool by our casita. One satellite pool happens to be adult only located by casita 35. There is a phone at the pool from which to order bar and food service for a quiet poolside experience.

The Spa was very chic and had an adult-only pool surrounded by cushy lounges and with inside or outside dining featuring its own spa menu. It also had an indoor pool with waterfall and lounge area open to the pool area. Very nice!!

The two hiking trails, Boyton Canyon and Boynton Vista, are both accessible from the resort and worth it for the views -- especially the Vista trail which is only a 30-min hike one-way.

Every member of the staff would wave or say hello --we felt very welcomed there. We are planning another return very soon! Highly recommend this resort for those wanting to get off the busy tourist street in Sedona and relax among the beauty that Sedona is known for.

When you arrive at this resort, the views of the red rocks are absolutely breathtaking. Unfortunately, Sedona has become Disneyland, and after fighting tourists all day, it was wonderful to drive deep into the canyon away from the hustle and bustle - considering we came to Sedona for a relaxing getaway.

We spent the day at the pool in the spa - they do not allow children and you can choose to lounge outside, or curl up on one of the sofas next to the indoor pool while sipping on a refreshing smoothie. The room was OK - not quite up to expectations. The bed was average, but I don't think there is a room in the place without a view.

Our last night there we had dinner at the restaurant (make sure you request an outside table before the sun goes down). The views were unbelievable and the food was just as good. Extremely romantic.

We will definitely be back.

The Enchantment is hidden away in its own canyon. The views are BEAUTIFUL and the service is outstanding!! They cater to your every need. The spa and their treatments are wonderful. You relax and enjoy yourself so much you never want to leave. Will go back over and over.

What an absolutely amazing property! The Enchantment Resort excels in every capacity - from lodging (the Jr Suite was just beautiful and at over 600 sq ft, more than large enough for my husband and our 2 children), to meals (all wonderful!), to activities offered (pitch and putt, tennis, mountain bikes - what a great workout), to the most fabulous spa on the planet. I can't say enough how much I enjoyed this property - if you are looking both to relax (the location is soothing in and of itself!), and also want a world class place to get yourself in shape (the mii amo spa) - this is the place for you. Class all the way!

I stayed with my family early August, the rainy season as we soon found out. The hotel is run extremely well, with superb staff and service levels. The rooms are fantastic and the surroundings beautiful.
We used the gym, pool, tennis and pitch & putt. You could also use mountain bikes for free, or within resort charge to be more accurate.
We were going to book Junipine Resort, which looked very limited by comparisson.
I would recommend Enchantment; it is not cheap but you get 5 Star treatment.
