“Not for the fussy”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW via mobile

Had high expectations but once you look at the details you realise that things are not necessarily up to 5 Star level at this Hotel (spiderwebs in the room - it took them two times to get them all out).

In the restaurant we were served cold cheese and the breakfast pastry was underbaked (also the second time, after we returned them to the kitchen).

The staff is well trained to communicate in impressive words, but no action follows.

Shame it looks like a promissing Place!

This is the perfect location for a couple to enjoy the tranquility that the resort provides but the room I had needed a refurbishment, it was poorly decorated, drab and while the bed was comfortable the pillows were old, and uncomfortable. In fact the pillows at Holiday Inn Express are much more comfortable. These pillows were bought off a market they were so poor.
Also staff are keen to tell you we don't take cash tips, too right because a tip will be added to your bill without you being able to set the amount.

We recently stayed for 2 nights at the Enchantment and it was a wonderful stay! The photographs on TripAdvisor truly do not do justice to the incredible view. You're so close to the red rocks from all angles. The view from the main clubhouse and the spa are breathtaking.

The room was comfortable and spacious, my 90 minute massage was so relaxing I fell asleep on the massage table, we rented bikes for free, and took a beginners hike right outside the gates of the property. Everyone who worked there was incredibly friendly and go out of their way to help with whatever we needed. One particular server, Oscar, was our favorite. He was our server in the restaurant Tii Gavo at night and then we ran into him again at breakfast and he remembered us and asked us if we were still enjoying our stay. Such a nice, friendly, and engaging guy!

One minor complaint is that the hotel was resurfacing all of the roads in the resort during our stay. The noise level was loud when it was right outside our room, it prevented us from parking in the closest lot to our room, and we had to avoid the main pool one day because they were running the machines on the street right near the pool. I guess that's what happens when you stay during the low season, but it was a minor inconvenience that I would assume is not unique to this property.

I would not hesitate for a second to come back to this hotel and I would definitely recommend it to friends and family!

Room Tip: Room 175 had the highest elevation on the resort with the best view of the red rocks. However, it w...

Enchantment gets a 4 because of the incredible views, without which I would rate it a 3. We had a jr king suite which looked bright and airy on the website and was actually dark and dreary. Certainly enough space for us, but not impressive. Upon touring Sedona, none of the hotels were impressive, but since Enchantment is the #1 most expensive, we expected more. The views from the rooms were the parking lots, and even when we were quickly and easily moved to a room with a better view, there were trees in the way, so we never used the deck. The views from the common areas of the resort are nothing short of breathtaking. View 180 for a cocktail was our first stop, and we were not disappointed. When I asked for stuffed olives in my martini and they only had blue cheese, I made an off-the-cuff comment about loving jalepeno stuffed olives. The waiter came back with his own homemade version of them. The staff does go the extra mile in all things, and couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating. Dinner at Chi-ah-Che was nice - again, with incredible views, but definitely not worth the $. We did spa treatments at Mii Amo, which were great, but considering this is a destination spa, we were a little disappointed. Both men's and women's steam rooms were not working. The treatment rooms were sparse, and too bright due to skylights without shades, although it was incredible to see the rock formations through them. Light fare at Mii Amo was ridiculously priced for what was served, and the sushi had definitely been pre-made and refrigerated. But the service level was top notch. Location of the resort is tough because it's far off the beaten path, but you would need to be in order to have those views, so it's a trade-off. I would recommend this resort if you don't mind driving on very dark and winding roads at night, and plan on spending a lot of time at the resort or in the immediate area of the resort (hiking and biking). And I didn't see another resort that would have ranked higher in my estimation. Suggestion: reach out to the concierge in advance of your trip for recommendations of things to do and assistance in booking. For room location, perhaps a room higher up will have a better view than the two we tried.

This is a beautiful resort in a truly wonderful part of the world. The landscape, the fauna and flora are just a delight. The shuttle staff who take you to your rooms and and run you around he resort are great so to the concierge staff, the gift shop staff, the pool and pool bar staff and the Spa personnel, but the reception staff and the staff in the restaurants seem to have gone to another training camp altogether, inattentive, distracted and at times rude. The Hotel also needs to find a supplier of firm pillows. There are no firm pillow in the whole complex. Not everyone likes to sleep on pillows that collapse like super soft marshmallow.

This was by far the best resort I have ever stayed at. From the moment we arrived, it was first class service. Everyone was very friendly! We got a tour of the resort, our room, and all the amenities. BEAUTIFUL views from everywhere! Rooms are enormous with plenty of room in the bathroom, with a beautiful tub and shower. Fresh orange juice and paper delivery daily. Turn down service in the evenings. Spa is stunning - world class. We had a spa treatment (couples massage) outside overlooking the red rocks. Pools are clean, plenty of space and towels.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with an unrestricted view

I just don't know what to say about this place. Our 5th visit. It doesn't get any better for the simple reason it can't! When you reach perfection where do you go! The answer is nowhere. Our Fav. place in the whole world. We will not be back for a while as the travelling as we get older gets more difficult! It took us 23 Hrs to get here and that's a challenge for a young person" Never mind an older person! And I'm just 53!! It killed us getting here from Europe this time, just due to flight timetables etc! I am not saying anything more except! "If you don't come here before you die, the you have never lived at all"

Room Tip: We had a private pool and Jacuzzi. It was $1590 a night it slept 8 get a group together and have th...
