“What more tranquility can you ask for?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2014

This place was just too perfect to be a reality. Great hotel that is encased right in the valley of the Boynton Canyon. The view from where ever you look is astonishing. There are a lot of activities that is available every day. They have couple of restaurants in the resort which all food becomes kindness to your taste buds. Staffs are polite and always concerned about the customers. One little thing that I have about the location of this resort is that they seem to be windy at times. I caught my trip at a very windy day and realized how breezy it gets there. Make sure to bring a jacket! A++ for the stay. Amazing.

This resort is excellent in every aspect. We arrived with our 3 year old and we were welcomed with a kids gift bag. This was a huge hit for my son and he still sleeps with the cute coyote stuffed animal that was in the bag. The service and the friendliness of the hotel staff was excellent. I have stayed at a lot of resorts/hotels around the world and I can say that this is the BEST one all around that I have stayed at. The resort is set in the heart of the red rock mountains and every morning and evening we enjoyed the deer and rabbits that ran throughout the resort. We are nature lovers so this place was perfect and so beautiful. We enjoyed the pool with a beautiful view and will definitely be back to try the highly rated Spa. I highly recommend this resort.

This was our second stay at Enchantment resort. I can't say enough good things about it. The setting is stunning. Watch how the colors of the sandstone rocks change as the sun goes down. The service is, without exception, exemplary. The range of activities you can pursue is wide, or you can just chill out in the gorgeous setting. The restaurants are pricey and not worth the extra that you pay. But there are reasonably good restaurants in town or use your fridge and make salads and fruit. Look forward to another visit next year.

There are just no words to describe the natural beauty, peace, hospitality, and service you will experience at the Enchantment Resort. I have traveled all over the world and there really is nothing that can compare. Sedona itself provides a feeling of absolute peace and calm as soon as you arrive in town and Enchantment takes the feeling to the next level. The location of the resort among the red rock mountains is almost unreal! The pool is beautiful as is the outdoor dining. The grounds are huge and the rooms are mostly a golf cart ride away from the main hotel. They are suites/casitas and are all beautiful. The Enchantment is a resort that has stayed with me since I visited and we are planning to visit again next year. Just amazing!!!!

We are ending an 8-day vacation here at Enchantment. There is much to recommend this place. The casitas have been renovated -- we were upgraded so we had an entire casita to ourselves (3 beds, 3 baths). There is a small kitchen and plenty of space. The rugs are a bit worn, and the sliding glass doors could use an upgrade, but the beds are nice and the facility clean. The food is generally well prepared though the menus are limited. The breakfast are especially good. The dining menu is rather limited, as are many restaurants in the area (btw, go to Dahl & DiLuca for terrific Italian food in town).

The service is really exceptional -- the staff are energetic and helpful. I would have liked greater helpfulness on the part of the concierge staff. There was an artificial friendliness to two of the female professionals there, and they were not proactive with recommendations (i.e., they'd do what you asked, but didn't spend anytime getting to know what you liked). One in particular should not be a concierge, but should look into another role.

The facility has a large pool and a smaller adult pool at the Spa. In both facilities there was significant crowding -- competition for chairs, for shade. That was disappointing. The sun and heat are so great you'd think that the hotel would do more to promote its activities in a way to manage these conditions. For example, how about lights on the tennis courts for evening play? We had to play tennis at 7 am to avoid the sun and heat. Similarly, how about more chairs (at the adult pool) and more with shade? Michael, a server at the adult pool, was amazingly helpful, and typifies the great service attitude of nearly all of the staff here.

I had a wonderful shiatsu massage by Stepha at the Spa, which seems well run and well staffed. We used the kids club daily for our 9 year old daughter. It is advertised has having cultural (Native American) activities and nature walks and activities; in reality, there was very little of that. There were more conventional activities. The children's program needs a significant upgrade to get the resort to a 5 star rating.

In summary, if you want to be in Sedona and want to hike, bike, and explore the outdoors, Enchantment makes a nice base. It is not a five star resort, but it is a solid 4 star. The staff are cheerful and helpful. With some of the improvements suggested, it could become a true 5 star property. At $800 a night, it should try to be.

Room Tip: Stay near the main building. It is more convenient.

Love it...a special place for anyone to get back to beautiful nature...spa awesome, food great, wonderful staff! Photographers dream, birding,
Swim, tennis, hiking, biking or just rest and relax. The cost of enchantment resort is a little pricey however worth every cent. Should be on everyone's bucket list!

Came here with wife and son for a work related conference. The resort is located in a canyon off beautiful Sedona. The suites have a kitchenette, ample space, fireplace, and a balcony. The views and hiking trails are great, and the views of the surrounding mountains belong in a postcard. The breakfast at the resort's conference center was representative of the local Arizona cuisine and very good. I did not use the hotel facilities for dinner as we also went sightseeing the places in the city of Sedona. My family used the pool, bicycles and tennis court facilities. Internet WIFi service is included and worked ok form the room. Friendly staff.
