“Beautiful area, service was average depending on who you dealt with”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2013

We stayed in a junior suite which is clean an adequate. It could use an updating for the price however the bathroom was large and newly redone. We celebrated an anniversary so we were given complimentary champagne and strawberries, which is a nice touch. We didn't feel like "everyone knew us" like some other reviews discussed. The area is picturesque and quiet. The front desk will send golf carts to transport you around the grounds if you need a ride (the grounds are big/spread out). The pool is pretty and warm. The common areas were clean and set up for relaxing in front of the views. OJ and a newspaper were outside our door for us in the morning. The canyon hiking trail is very easy to get to from the property. Cell service is horrendous so good luck making calls in the canyon. We found the gold cart drivers to be much more helpful and informative than the concierge who didn't offer really and suggestions on hiking and activities. If you like late night drinks or activities, this is not the place and things in town close early. Breakfast service in the main restaurant was great along with sunset at the tapas restaurant view 180. The bar in the smaller Resturant was tiny and service was not great. My husband got the wrong drink twice and we had to ask for someone to serve us both times (it wasn't crowded). When we were by the fire pit outside at night we also had to find someone for service and were past by serveral times.

Whether you want to lounge about one of the two spectacular pools, attend educational resort classes and activities, or hike up Boynton Canyon into the red rocks, Enchantment Resort is the most beautiful place on earth. We come to the resort twice a year, and we have always experienced incredible service, food, and amenities. Tii Gavo and Che Ah Chi are our favorite dining experiences, with fresh and delicious food at a reasonable price. Be sure to try the local Oak Creek Brewery's Nut Brown Ale and finish off with the a dish of pure, rich and creamy gelato.

There are plants, animals, and views that you won't find anywhere else. If you enjoy a spiritual experience, you will find it within the ancient ruins of the canyon walls. There is more to do in the area than you will ever accomplish in one visit. The rooms, grounds, and spa facilities are pristine. You will not be disappointed in this five-star experience. Phenomenal!!

Just returned from a two night stay. What an amazing place in a perfect setting. The service was absolutely amazing. Sedona has so much to offer and all very close to the Enchanent Resort. This hotel is a little ways out if town but exactly what we wanted in Sedona as we wanted to focus on the outdoors. Kinda spendy but you get what you pay for...

This was our second stay and this place just keeps getting better. Aside from the amazing location, the service and staff is top notch A-one. They have a variety of room sizes that fit every need. There are plenty of activities for all ages and hiking trails that start right from the resort.
The views of the red rocks from anywhere on the resort change as the sun moves giving a different perspective all day long. Restaurants are OK. Plenty of other places to eat in Sedona with a short drive.

Breathtaking views, high-end quality staff, great pool and dinning facilities and perfect weather. Yeah, the Enchantment works. Some details:

- Resort is built out over a wide landscape of villas, unattached to the main lobby and function rooms/dinning/pool. Expect to walk and navigate some modest hills. (The hotel has golf cart service available 24/7 by simply dialing 0.) If mobility is an issue request a villa that is closer to the main building.

- The rooms are spacious and well appointed. Our tub/shower had a rather "tall" tub so getting into the shower could be dicey for those with physical limitations. Not sure each room is like this but I'd suggest asking.

- Restaurants and bar area's are majestic and beautiful. Food is very good, drinks were excellent. Service was friendly if not a tad slow at breakfast (no big deal to me).

- The resort is located four or five miles from downtown Sedona. You have to essentially drive out of the hills. I liked this but for those hoping for easy walking to and from town this is not the place.

- Gym and spa are both top-notch. Excellent.

Room Tip: Ask for a room closer to the main building to avoid challenging walks to and from your room.

I agree with all the other reviewers who loved this place. The views are incredible and make it a must-stay. The staff are very friendly and they even have a great kids program so that the adults can have a little time away from the kiddos.

The only thing preventing me from giving this a FIVE rating is that the restaurants really serve dreadfully bland food. Every meal, while served in a lovely setting, was tasteless. I was actually stunned because it's incongruous with the excellence of this resort overall. Even the room service messed up our order twice, and also served us a bagel wrapped in a dirty napkin stained heavily with some kind of red sauce (at least I'm hoping it was red sauce!). For our last meal, we were so tired of the bland food that we picked-up take-out pizza and actually found that more satisfying. (And I'm not a pizza kind of gal when I'm staying at a luxury resort.)

But that said, I still enjoyed my stay here and would stay here again. I just hope they improve the restaurants.

We stayed for 5 nighs at the beginning of our trip around Grand Canyon, and chose this place to recover from our jetlag after a long flight from Europe. Check-inn was somewhat confusing as a lady came with some papers, while we were in the car and we didn't really felt welcomed. The first room we were assigned looked directly into a parking lot so I asked for another, which we got. However, the view from this room also was nothing special - you looked straight into some trees. All in all we were not impressed with the rooms - they were very dark, but we were very impressed with everything else! Each morning, early because of jetlag, we went to the gym, showered, took a swim and had the best breakfast at the spa in the most incredible landscape and with very attentive and sweet staff. We stayed by the pool every morning, and some days had lunch at the spa, which was also very good. We did some hikes and visited Sedona and the area. At night we tried the restaurants and enjoyed some really nice meals with very interesting menus, both for food and wine. The staff was very professional and offered excellent advice - we tried various local wines, which all complimented the food perfectly. All in all we really enjoyed the place. Regarding the pool area at the spa it gets extremely warm, and there is not enough umbrellas to give shade, it seems that the hotel has chosen style over comfort, as the umbrellas look very nice but are small, and you need two for one sunbed. This means that you need to get there early and have the pool boys set up shade before you need it as otherwise there will be no umbrellas. Also other guests asked several times to have the pool cleaned as it was very dirty - really not OK in such an expensive resort!
