“Amazing Resort and Spa”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2012

The Enchantment Resort is truly a special place --- both geographically and in every possible way. The staff are all attentive, helpful, happy and seem proud to be a part of the Enchantment experience. The rooms, restaurants, Spa are all excellent! One feels the difference right away -- this is not a cookie cutter resort/hotel --- but a place where peace, tranquility, and love of life seem to overflow. The Spa is indeed a total get-away-from-it-all place. Would be an excellent place to honeymoon as it is quite romantic. It is in one of the most beautiful canyons in all of Sedona and far from the "new-age-Disneylandish- crystal" Sedona. ENJOY! This was our second visit.

Stayed at this lovely resort/spa May 6-8th after several days in Vegas what a great place to come for peace and quiet. Booked Journey at Enchantment package. Totally loved everything about this place. In fact going back again to celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary June 8th for 3 nights and booked the same package. We are coming all the way from Florida and we do have plenty of spas here, but nothing compares to Enchantment. Long trip to get there but so worth it. Stayed in Casita 479 lovely views and very quiet, would love to stay in a Casa with a plunge pool, but a little too pricey. Also would like to thank the guys in lost and found when I left some clothes in the Casita drawer, by the 5th phone call to inquire about them they had found 2 of the 4 items left behind and are now in route back to Florida. THANK YOU.Hopefully the other 2 items will surface soon. See you all next month.

Room Tip: Ask for a corner suite.

It is not very often a place exceeds your expectations, but this resort certainly did. The setting is so beautiful and the resort is wonderful. The only negative thing was we had really noisey neighbours and could here them through the walls. We would definitley return here if we go back to Arizona.

Stayed at the Enchantment for Spring break with my hubby and 2 daughters (10 and 6). The views surrounding this resort are spectacular as is the service. Stayed in a suite with a king bed and pull down murphy bed (which the kids loved). Even though the resort was under renovation, still a wonderful stay. My only complaint would be the food - both room service and restaurant (other than breakfast buffet which was excellent) are mediocre at best. I would expect better quality food from such a fantastic resort. Each night, they had a special theme for the kids (native american, etc) which my girls absolute loved - they learned to square dance and mexican hat dance and are still talking about the great dance instructor. I would not hesitate to stay here again and have already let all my friends and family know that if they go to Sedona - they must stay at Enchantment.

My wife and I had a 5 days stay in may at Enchantment resort.

Surrounded by Red rocks, you could hardly find a better location. The resort itself spreads on wide area. However, main buildings and "casitas" are built and painted in such a way that they perfectly fit in the canyon. During our stay we've been visiting a few other resorts (basically those we were also considering) and we hardly could see anything coming close to the Enchantment resort.
You can even see some deers in the resort.

Check-in (& checkout) process was painless. We were first greeted by a security agent at the entry gate.
The entire staff was smiling & welcoming. Once checked in, they dropped us at our casita using a small cart and gave us a map and two fresh bottles of water.

The room was large enough. Bathroom is big, had shower and bathtub.
Room had complimentary WiFi, coffee, tea and Decaf.
Everyday in the morning, two fresh bottles of good orange juices and a newspaper were left in front of our door.
In the afternoon, they always provided us with more fresh bottles of water.
Simple but nice gestures you've got to appreciate.
Also, prices of the mini bar items were quite fair ($3 for a can of soda, $5 for an imported beer is rather quite decent).
Please note that the Wifi connection can be erratic (Sat TV as well) and we had no mobile phone network coverage.
Coffee machine gave up working but has been replaced as soon as mentioned to the front desk (10 mins max).
Cleanup service was efficient. Whatever the time we left, it's always been cleaned and refreshed when we came back.
Mattress was good and the little balcony delivered a good view (casita 43) : We truly enjoyed having a drink there at sunset.
Still a building was under construction and the nearest casitas could be disturbed by noise and/or vibrations between 9am to 4pm.

There were many activities in the resort but many seemed to seriously require an early reservation.
Sedona is about 15 minutes away (severe speed limitations).

The only thing that makes us feel like we won't return is the location itself :
During the entire stay, we had some sort of bad feelings. The beautiful location (like most parts of Sedona) probably deserve to be left intact. Being so close to those Red rocks is most likely ... too close. Also, we felt like unwelcomed guest in a sacred location.
Last but not least, three days in row, we saw a huge spider in our room (might be the same one). Since we do respect all kinds of living creatures, we haven't killed 'em nor called the front desk. We're not quite scared about spiders but, if you're afraid of spiders, you'd better know about this.

Room Tip: Casitas close the gate or lobby are less subject to construction noise

Thank you for taking time to share your experiences with us. We strive for excellence throughout the property and are glad to see that you and your wife benefited from this during your time at Enchantment Resort. We also encourage all guests to be conscious of their carbon footprinting and promote recycling and green practices throughout the resort. We realize that we are truly blessed to be in such a beautiful area and only Boynton Canyon can offer this experience. As such, we do try to encourage our guests and employees to be aware of their surroundings and try to remind everyone to be responsible during their time here. We are also heavily involved in sustainable tourism and responsibility throughout the community through projects and donations for preserving the delicate environment of Sedona and Boynton Canyon.

Thank you for voicing your concerns because we do appreciate and strongly encourage them. Your support and acknowledgment really make a difference with our community as well as throughout the world. We hope to welcome you back soon.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2012

I booked my stay at Enchantment Resort and Spa for a mother's day getaway with my mother. I had never been to this part of the country but had heard about the beauty of the red rocks. After a good bit of research, including reading trip advisor reviews, I decided on this property and am so glad I did. Words cannot fully describe our stay. This property/resort is exceptional. Nestled in Boynton Canyon and surrounded by red rocks it is just a beautiful, perfect setting. The staff is fabulous and many of them have been there for years which definitely adds to the experience...they seem very invested in providing the best guest experience possible--it seemed like they were there just for us. We ate at two of the restaurants and the food at both was very, very good. The mother's day buffet was unlike anything I have ever seen. All the food was fresh, delicious and beautifully prepared and presented. Fresh orange juice and a paper were delivered to our "room" everyday but to call it a room is understating the beauty of the resort and accommodations. We took advantage of the spa services and they were just as perfect. At first, I did not realize that this property is located 4 miles away from Sedona but that really adds to the experience. Boynton Canyon is an important place to several native american tribes and the beauty has been preserved and incorporated into the resort. There is something for everyone (hiking, lectures, biking, nature walks, yoga, zumba and many, many other daily activities at no additional charge) and you just cannot go wrong staying here. We went into Sedona one day and I saw one of the other properties I considered...and it's located at the corner of a very busy intersection with no views at all and while it may be a nice place it simply cannot compare to Enchantment. Each morning my mom watched hot air balloons rise over one of the mountains---just breathtaking! I am already planning my next trip back and hope to stay longer next time. Don't miss out on staying here---you cannot go wrong.

Room Tip: As far as I know all the rooms have views of the red rocks but you might want to double check that...

The grounds, staff and spa are amazing. We had such a relaxing experience after our trip to the Grand Canyon. The hydrating facial was wonderful.

Room Tip: Junior suite with gas fireplace was special. Try to get one overlooking the Canyon.
