We spent two nights at Desert Quail in March 2005. A classic outside-entry motel. Big room, clean, but you know you're in a budget property. Much farther from Sedona than we expected -- about 10-12 minute drive. No views of mountains from rooms. Fine for the price, but I might try another place next time we visit Sedona.

It's right on the highway so you get a lot of traffic noise at night. Also, they were doing some remodeling in the units next to us and were sawing away much earlier than they had promised. The motel is also located a good 15 min drive from sedona so we wated a lot of time driving back and forth. Definetly would not stay there again.

The Desert Quail lived up to its reviews. The room was clean, spacious and nicely decorated. The front desk was friendly and helpful with our questions. The microwave and refrigerator are a plus especially with the grocery store just behind the motel.

We were glad we stayed here as it was a good value for the price. Check out the photos as they show exactly how it looks.

We came up from Phoenix for a night a few weeks ago. It seemed like a decent place when we pulled up, however, there were bugs in our room, the front desk staff was very short with us, and the rooms overlook a parking lot, with no views of the red rocks, which is why we went. We love Sedona, be we will not stay here again.
