We started a 3 week road trip at the Days Inn Sedona. It's a bit off the beaten path, but with all the construction downtown, I'd rather be in uptown or west Sedona anyway. The ladies who work at the front desk are wonderful and accomodating-good with restaurant recommendations.
We had a king suite and the other people in our party had a double. The only downside is that they were in separate buildings...we were hoping to be next door or closer, but that was just a small hitch. Room was nice, clean, shower was great. Pool is lovely, hot tub was clean and relazing. Breakfast was just fine. Bad Arizona bagels...but what can I say, I'm a New Yorker. Haven't had a good bagel since I came out here. Would definitely stay there again.
