I have to agree with Kevin M's review. We found our suites to be clean and spacious. We had large front windows that looked out at the red rocks of the area. If you stay in the separate building in a suite, there is no internet service. We were told by the desk clerk, "I really hope no body wants internet!" There was a service card for the internet in the room and when one of our party tried to use it she was told by the front desk, I TOLD you you would not get internet! She was very rude. The night clerk/early morning person was a little friendlier but did not know the area at all. I agree with Kevin M,. that we, also, were treated as an inconvenience not as an honored guest. If you're not picky about service, the location is very central to sightseeing Sedona, just don't expect any help from the front desk.

Room Tip: Suites 162 and 164 are on the 2nd level and have beautiful views of the rock formations. Just don...

I stayed here with my wife in October 2012. I'd sum it up as a 4 star stay with 2/1 star service. The room itself was a good size, clean and comfortable. They provide breakfast which is nothing spectatcular but it was fine, coffee, cereal etc. A good tip is call ahead to comfirm your booking then you can request a room with views. We didn't know this and ended up with a view of the ice machine but it wasn't a big deal, the hotel has swing benches to sit at to take in the views.

The service does let the place down though. When we checked in the woman who was talking to us said, "you guys don't have a car - that's a problem!" My wife said we were happy to walk places and she looked at us like we were insane. Surely it's up to us to decide how we want to navigate the town. To get to uptown Sedona is roughly an hours walk which isn't too bad, I think. We had a similar issue when asking at the front desk about the local sightseeing trolley. Woman refused to answer our questions, just said "the leaflets are behind you so read them!"

All in all we were treated as an inconvenience, I've read similar comments on here about service Days Inn Sedona before and I agree completely. All in all though, if you can get past poor service you should have a reasonably good stay.

We drove up to the hotel late at night from Phoenix. We were pleasantly surprised when we found that we were upgraded to a junior suite without any additional fees/costs. The room was clean and so was the linen. The breakfast next day consisted of the bare essentials but it was ample and we were happy. There are other more expensive options in Sedona if you are looking for a luxurious vacation, but if you are looking for a basic hotel room, I recommend this place. The location is also very convenient to a number of attractions.
