“Enjoyed our Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2013

My son, our dogs and I stayed here over Thanksgiving. The grounds were beautiful and we also enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The front desk staff was exceptionally friendly. The accomodations were perfect for us. This property is not quite top quality compared to most Diamond Resorts, but it was just what we wanted- comfortable and clean, all the amenities we needed, and most importantly- DOG FRIENDLY! We are former AZ residents who have recently moved to CO, but all our relatives still live in AZ. We hope to make this place our home away from home. Thank you Bell Rock Inn for accomodating us and our dogs. We will be back!

We stayed here for a couple of nights over Thanksgiving and found the Bell Rock to be adequate for our needs. We had a studio which had a full sized refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and small cook top. We did not do any cooking while we were there but it was nice to have it available. King size bed was OK, furnishings were average, had a flat screen that pivoted so you could watch from either the couch or the bed, the room itself was clean and well cared for.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the front desk staff called the restaurant across the street for us to see if they were serving breakfast the next day (Thanksgiving Day), that was a nice touch we didn't have much more interaction with them after that.
The location is in Oak Creek which is about 5 miles outside of Downtown Sedona, so keep this in mind when booking as you won't be able to walk to much... there are a few restaurants and shops around but nothing like Sedona itself.

The Bell Rock Inn is between the town of Sedona and Route 17. Although being outside of town, it is near excellent hiking trails and in a quiet part of town. The views of the area are spectacular. The hotel staff is very professional and accommodating. The hotel itself is good and consistent with a three-star facility. The kitchen facilities are minimal and the facility has average amenities. Overall, it is good for a short stay en route to or from the Grand Canyon. Sedona, however, is a must visit location.

We stayed here a year ago and are repeat guests. We booked our room on bookingbuddy.com and did comparison on Kayak. Last year we had a 2 bedroom suite, that was lovely. This year we stayed in a studio for three nights. The studio is small and quite close quarters for two adults. It has a full kitchen and a small couch for seating. We didn't have enough room to place out luggage. We didn't use the fitness studio; however, it only had a treadmill and bike, not much of a fitness room. We used the pool/hot tub; however, they should monitor who goes into this area; it is unlocked and open for anyone to enter. Some locals crashed the pool / hot tub area; it was uncomfortable and we left. They should place a room lock key to enter, to avoid this from occurring again. We informed management; but nothing happened. The location is great to hiking Bell Rock.. just a short drive to north from the timeshare. It was clean, non smoking and also pet friendly. We would recommend the stay, check the internet for pricing you can find lower rates offered... Have fun!

I was pleasantly surprised by the Bell Rock Inn. I had a small studio which was recently remodeled on the first floor near the fitness room. There were more appliances than I needed, Fridge, microwave, stove, dishwasher. Plates, glasses etc were provided. There was a dining table, sofa and a comfy bed. We were not once asked to attend the timeshare presentation. They did ask if marketing could call our phone we declined and heard nothing futher. Note hotel is closer to hiking than Sedona shops and dining in Village of Oak Creek but we preferr the area. Drawback is the shower head which feel like needles and shallow toilet bowl and possibly very stompy guests upstairs but that's fairly normal. Staff was hepful and friendly price was great!

We are really pleased that you chose to stay at the Bell Rock Inn, and that your apartment had everything you needed! While we offer all our guests the opportunity to learn more about vacation ownership, we do appreciate that this won’t be of interest to everyone and we are pleased that this didn’t mar your stay here. We hope you’ll consider us for future visits to the Sedona area – we’d love to see you again!

We stayed at the Bell Rock for 3 days. We had a very nice studio with a couch (uncomfortable) but no other arm chairs. The only other chairs were 2 unmatched chairs at the kitchen peninsula.
The kitchen was well appointed with all the necessary dishes, pans and cutlery along with a small frig and dishwasher. There was also a small 2 burner cook top. It was all and more than we needed - we did cook breakfasts and never had a problem.
There was a comfortable king size bed. The toilet and shower/tub were in a separate room from the sink. The shower was good - had good pressure but every time we used it there was water on the floor.
Our only real complaint was inconsistent internet service and after they told us they had put in new routers we couldn't get service at all. We had read on Trip Advisor that this had been a problem in the past so obviously it has not been corrected. With all the mountains around maybe this will continue to be a problem.
The setting of the inn is wonderful - south of Sedona on Hwy. 179 but only a short drive to town. There were restaurants close by and a very handy supermarket.
As this inn is part of Diamond Resorts International we did sit through a presentation at a nearby golf resort where they tried to talk us into purchasing. The presentation was fine - not high pressure as one would expect - our salesman and his supervisor were both very pleasant and we left without purchasing.
This inn is a good place to stop for a few days but not if you're on business and need the internet.

Room Tip: Our room overlooked the pool and was good - probably best to not face the highway.

While it is very convenient to have a kitchen and all the bells and whistles that accompany it, the loudness of the cleaning staff, outdated decor and lack of hot water do not make the stay at this hotel a satisfying one.

We notified the front desk twice that the water in our room was warm at best and over our week stay, the problem was not remedied.

The price was reasonable, the pool area relaxing and the lobby staff very polite. However, we will most likely not stay here again.
