Oak Creek Terrace is delightful with a warm and welcoming staff. The rooms are a bit small but the king-sized bed was comfortable. The jacuzzi built for two was romantic and relaxing. The rooms are easy walking access to Oak Creek - great for dogs to play and splash. The Creek beach has hammocks, patio swings and chairs as well as easy walking paths. Tasteful and amusing art work and sculptures dot the property, which boasts several gazebos and barbecue pits. At night, thousands of tiny white holiday lights, strung along the Inn property, compete with the stars for pure romance. Oak Creek Terrace is an exceptional value in every way -- we wouldn't stay anywhere else. There is a one-time non-refundable $35.00 pet fee but no other restrictions (crating, size). We love it!

We called around in the Sedona area looking for places that would accept our dog and Oak Creek Terrace was the only one...so, our choice was limited, to say the least. After reading the AWFUL reviews on this site, I booked a room with a great deal of reservation.

We booked the two story room with the spiral staircase and we had a GREAT TIME. Sure the decor was a tad outdated, but we were looking for something a little rustic, a little anti-W, and a little pro nature...and we found it. Our dog did not like the spiral staircase (it was her first attempt at climbing stairs...we're from Tucson), but we had a great time and it was well worth the risk.

If you're looking for urban sophistication, this ain't it. If you're looking for a quaint place to get away from the city and get close to nature, I heartily recommend the Oak Creek Resort.

Nevermind the naysayers.

This place is really dirty and desperately in need of a facelift. The spider in our bed, water leaking from behind the bathroom mirror and what must have been 30 year old, badly stained carpet were enough to make a homeless man gag. Pass this one up!

First night was given a smoking room without being told this, and it reeked of stale cigarette smoke, even with all the windows open. In a different room the damper didn't work properly on the fireplace and using the puny little complimentary firelog left the room smelling, again, of smoke. The carpeting in both rooms was old and in desperate need of replacement.

It's located in a lovely setting by the creek, which I most enjoyed, but was it really worth the price? No. I only stayed there because it was a place in Oak Creek Canyon that allowed a pet dog. If you don't have a dog, seek other places to stay in the Canyon. There looked like plenty of other far better run places. They just don't take care of this motel.

We chose this hotel for a short getaway from the heat with our dog. The good news is the dog loved it. Nice grassy area for running; creek for wading. The bad news is it's very funky. The whole place needed a good cleaning. The kitchnette was a microwave and fridge, and the only nearby place to eat is the Dairy Queen across the street. We'll stay elsewhere next time....
