We stayed here early October. The building is a bit dated but the room was confy and the bed was great.

Pros:
- Breakfast fit for a Queen and King - Nice variety and great table setting
-Very Close to Uptown Sedona
-Beautiful view - Especially at night
-Nice and private
-Private jacuzzi

Cons:
- Owner does not live on site and is unavailable from evening till the next morning
-Owner does not seem to enjoy what she does
-Breakfast is served from 8:30-9:30 one room at a time very 15 minutes.
-We were second on the list and early risers but no coffee or room service until your turn
- Owner does not live at the site and may not arrive on time so everyones breakfast gets backed up.

Improvements needed:
If you are not going to be on site and only serve breakfast one room at a time - Please provide coffee makers in the rooms. I noted several people driving into town to get coffee and then await the owner to arrive for breakfast.

“Some changes but still a great stay”

Wishing Well Bed and Breakfast

This was our second stay at the Wishing Well. We were also there Sept. 2006. We have stayed in the Surise Sunset room both times and it is by far the best room in the inn. The deck is large and private with a great view of the red rocks. There is a jacuzzi on the deck that is fabulous. We had no problems with it. I will admit that the breakfast has changed since we were there last. The food was good, but the menu is not as special as it was before. We enjoyed our breakfast each morning on the deck and it was delivered on time. If I were to return to Sedona, I would stay here again in the Sunrise Sunset room because the room, deck, view, and location are worth it.

We stayed here in mid-October, based on trip advisor reports - although on recent reports (which I don't necessarily disagree with) I don't know if I would make the same choice again.

Positives - great location, easy access to uptown Sedona & Oak Creek Canyon, amazing views of the red rocks from our huge private deck. This is really why you'd want to stay here to be honest. Our room was beautiful, the bed was incredibly comfortable and it was very quiet and peaceful. The outdoor hot tub was fantastic, and lying there drinking champagne and watching the stars was very romantic. However ...

Negatives - hot tub wasn't working on morning 2, and given that this was one of the major distinguishing factors of booking this place, we weren't pleased. The owner came and tinkered around with it for a bit and said it sometimes took a while to come on ?!? No apology - actually I got the impression (now borne out by recent reviews) that the hot tubs quite regularly don't work properly ... I did try again later, and somehow managed to get it to work eventually by pressing every combination of button, but it did leave a bad impression. Also, the owner doesn't stay at the B&B at night - which generally is fine by me, however on our first night I don't think there were any other guests there and if I'm honest I didn't feel particularly safe. All rooms are accessible externally, there are big plate glass windows and not particularly strong locks. It's very dark outside and you're not really near any other properties. Maybe it's just me being a scaredy-cat but I wasn't especially happy that night!

Overall we had a good stay in Sedona, and a romantic time at the wishing well - but this was in spite of various shortcomings and overall I think this place is seriously overpriced. I'd try somewhere else next time.

We booked the Wishing Well for our anniversary trip in October 2007. One of the things we definitely wanted was an outdoor jacuzzi with a view, because we heard that stargazing in Sedona is a must. We selected this property specifically for that reason.

When we drove up, we thought the property was lovely. We were so excited to check in and relax after 15 hours traveling. Imagine our disappointment upon checking in when the desk clerk told us that "oh, by the way, your hot tub isn't working". She was so indifferent about it and seemed more concerned with her kids, who were running all over the property (one of them ran in front of our car as we were driving up). She gave us some long story about how they had taken a part from it to fix another hot tub a few days earlier and she just hadn't been able to get a handyman to come repair it. Then she says she will try to call them right now...AT 4:15 ON A FRIDAY. It was obvious that she had not been trying to get it fixed. When (surprise!) she couldn't reach anyone, we asked her if she would give us a credit, and she said she would give us a $30 credit...ON A $300 ROOM! We asked to see the room to decide if it was worth $270 with no hot tub and it was not. We asked for our money back and found another place where we were very well taken care of.

I know this review is very delayed, but I have been wanted to say my peace on this place for awhile and I am finally sitting down to do it!

First let me say that my husband and I have stayed at this B&B twice in the past and loved it! The previous owners were amazing hosts that prepared spectacular breakfast. However, the new ownership leaves much to be desired.

During our trip we were the ONLY guests in the B&B. The first morning our breakfast was an hour and a half late. Our second morning we waited for an hour after our requested breakfast time and then left to go eat elsewhere. When we saw the inn keeper later, she did not apologize but acted upset that we had left! With only two guests, there is no reason for food to be that late. And the one breakfast we did eat was average at best.

I won't speak for the rooms as I understand they have been redone since our visit, however the hot tubs did need replacing as they were old and kind of dirty.

I am so sad that this B&B turned out this way as it is a beautiful building with a fabulous location. Hopefully, the owner gets her act together.
