I know this review is very delayed, but I have been wanted to say my peace on this place for awhile and I am finally sitting down to do it!

First let me say that my husband and I have stayed at this B&B twice in the past and loved it! The previous owners were amazing hosts that prepared spectacular breakfast. However, the new ownership leaves much to be desired.

During our trip we were the ONLY guests in the B&B. The first morning our breakfast was an hour and a half late. Our second morning we waited for an hour after our requested breakfast time and then left to go eat elsewhere. When we saw the inn keeper later, she did not apologize but acted upset that we had left! With only two guests, there is no reason for food to be that late. And the one breakfast we did eat was average at best.

I won't speak for the rooms as I understand they have been redone since our visit, however the hot tubs did need replacing as they were old and kind of dirty.

I am so sad that this B&B turned out this way as it is a beautiful building with a fabulous location. Hopefully, the owner gets her act together.

We were here for our one year anniversary. The picture looks so nice and I told my husband I am giving him a surprise for our anniversary. When we arrived, I was a little bit disappointed. The bed is not very comfortable and the lady who substituted the host, who is sick, knows nothing about the good place to go for dinner. She said somebody will call us at 7:00 next day to arrange breakfast time( Who wants to get up so early while on vacation)

So we woke up around 7:00 and nobody called. at 9:00, my husband finally called the host to ask for breakfast. The breakfast is really delicious and it is the best part of the stay.

The water in the jaccusi on the private deck smells weird so my husband only put his feet in.

For the price ths B& B charged, I don't think it is worth the $$.

The view is definitely spectaculous but overall, I don't think we will return to this B&B.

Let me just say that my family has been to this B&B for YEARS and has loved it...the food, gracious hosts, the view, the room, etc. With the new ownership (or at least the new managers), this place is now a B&B I will never return to again.

I started to book on-line, but couldn't find a place to list my gift certificate, so I called to ask how I should handle this with the fact that I had a gift certificate for a one night stay. The woman told me to go ahead and book online and she'd make a note of my gift certificate in her book so I wouldn't be charged for one of the nights. I booked online and was charged half, the cost of one night, so that made sense. A week before my stay, however, I was charged for the 2nd night. I almost knew this was going to happen so I POLITELY called to explain the situation and I was pretty much accused of never calling and totally doing the payment wrong and it was all my fault and such a hassle now, BUT (she went on to say) it's no big deal and I'll just refund your money. Um, don't really know why I had to be accused of lying and told I totally messed everything up if the end result was to refund my money anyway?? So, we were off to a bad start.

When we got to the B&B, we had to relive the refund issue...she had forgotten to do it, so we waited for 10 minutes while she searched her office for a possible invoice, but nothing was there. WHATEVER!!!!, can we just handle it and enjoy our stay already??? I want the money refunded, but I don't need to hang out and watch you search your office for it. I would have been ok if she said she'd look into it as we got settled in the room. I don't need to wait there as she does the job she should have done a week before.

Anyway, there are Positives:
Beautiful view & cute room. Hostess was nice (really helpful in accommodating a couple requests), but not very professional.

Negatives:
Hostess, while nice, was really gossipy. She was telling us how the couple who stayed in our room before us was so disappointed with it (saying it was ugly and the wife actually cried because she was so disappointed). I didn’t know how to respond. The room was cute, so I think the previous guest may have had higher expectations or something, but now I started feeling like “wow, did we get the bad room in the place or something?” Then she proceeded to tell us that she only gives the previous couple’s marriage a couple years unless that wife straightens up. WOW, TOTALLY NOT WHAT I WANT TO THINK ABOUT ON MY ANNIVERSARY WEEKEND!!!!

Hot tub not working - the hostess tried to fix it for the first hour we were there (another thing I don't really need to be involved with as a guest paying a GOOD AMOUNT OF MONEY to stay here).

The bed was horrible. Apparently it was a new mattress, but it was way too soft (and I like a soft bed)...so soft that it gave no support whatsoever. I barely slept either night and woke up cranky because of such horrible sleep.

No curtains...apparently there USED TO BE curtains because the rod holders were still there but painted over. With an eastern exposure, that is HORRIBLE!! We were up with the sun...not really the experience you want with a B&B.

The breakfast served on both days was average at best. Most of the time it was cold and/or unflavorful. I barely ate with of our 2 meals and totally felt gipped. Also, my family has been there in the past and raved about fresh croissants and breads in the morning...there was none of that...more like store bought cold cornbread. Plus, the fruit that was served was brown in spots and one bite actually tasted like it had been bad for a week. Pancakes were cold, but the whipped cream was melted and in a pool at the bottom of the plate??? Just not good.

The presentation of the breakfast was nice. There were lace tablecloths, china, etc., but that does not outweigh the quality of the meal.

THIS B&B IS NOT WORTH THE PRICE CHARGED. My husband and I have stayed at B&Bs all over Europe and all throughout the US. I have never been this disappointed. My husband actually has to go to a chiropractor for his back and neck after sleeping in this bed. This was our anniversary weekend and I honestly wish we had just stayed home.

We stayed at The Wishing Well while we attended a conference at the Hilton. I am SO glad we stayed at WW instead of in a "Red Rocks" Suite at the Hilton--there were few red rocks there and WW had them up close and personal. Our room, Sweet Dreams, was very comfortable, bed way above average, breakfast scrumptious, private hot tub romantic and views SPECTACULAR. Nita was so accommodating and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed.

Close to town, but off the highway just far enough, the inn was convenient to everything. Wish we'd had time to hike the old trail out back--we got rained out just as we started the climb.

We'll be back . . .

When I began calling around Sedona to talk to B & B ' s, asking questions, the owner of the Wishing Well, Nita, was very open. She is so enthusiastic about this property, it was contagious so we booked it. We were going to be a little late so we called & Nita waited for us so that she could show us around the property. The room was wonderful & very private. The 2-person jacuzzi outside, under the stars- was amazing. The room was great - lots of personal touches. There were water bottles placed in the mini-fridg daily for us, there was a corkscrew, wine glasses & an ice bucket provided. There was a koi pond and a fire pit on the patio but it rained most of our trip so we didn't get a chance to enjoy those. We stayed in the newly renovated "Morning Glory." The bedding was amazing! They brought us breakfast on a cart that turned into a small table- what a spread! The only problem was that we are EARLY risers and found ourselves waiting for breakfast. When it did arrive, it was amazing - coffee, juice, fresh fruit, and lemon ginger waffles with lots of whipped cream! The website does not do the property justice so I took pictures for thsoe that are interested.
