“Great place for anyone with a young family”

Rose Tree Inn

Oct 23, 2006

From start to finish this place was top notch -from first contacting Gary from the UK and during our stay he could not have been more welcoming and helpful. I travelled with my family(wife and little boy -aged one). Gary had sourced a travel cot and the room was more than enough even for a family of 3. Very spacious with a fully equipped kitchen. Location was really good -very central but off the beaten track so very peaceful -and plenty of humming birds to see if you like that sort of thing. And loads of free videos and board games to watch or play for the evenings-vital entertainment when travelling with a baby. And really good value. Would definitely stay here again -with or without the little fella.

My boyfriend and I stayed at thi Rose Tree Inn many years ago for 3 nights. We arrived late and our room was prepared and ready for our arrival. To our delight, we had a cozy room with a large fireplace and full kitchen, much like a cottage. The fireplace was even prepped for a fire. The garden is quaint and the innkeeper Gary was very helpful. He knows the area and treated us like family. He offered us the use of the hot tub and the laundry facilities, which was more than welcome since we had just come from hiking the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. And for us who missed our feline family, Rosie the cat was fun to play with. This little inn was a little retreat for us. We even purchased some mugs so we could remember our Arizona retreat at home.

We liked this place so much, we came back with our mothers a few years later. We stayed in two different rooms this time. We booked the largest room near the street, and the small guest room next door. While not as cozy and quaint as the room previous, it was pleasant and comfortable for us. Again, Gary was so helpful and warm. He remembered us from our first stay.

I would stay at the Rose Tree Inn anytime I'm in Sedona.

Based on several previous reviews, we stayed in the "Rooms Up Top" part of the Rose Tree Inn for 2 nights in late April 2006. The Rose Tree Inn is in a quiet residential/motel section of uptown Sedona, within walking distance of Highway 89A - "the main drag" but slightly off the beaten tourist track - which is very nice. The Inn appears to attract a mature crowd that is not interested in glitz and glamour accomodation. In the Inn, rooms face an interior courtyard awash in the most beautiful roses you've ever seen. Gary, the Inn keeper, is very well informed about restaurants in the area and things to do and see and is very helpful. The "Rooms Up Top" portion are located one street over and over the top of a real estate/builders office. One room has a queen bed, the other a King Size - the queen bedded room has a shower only, the King a tub shower combo. The rooms share a quiet upper deck with nice views of the Red rocks. Both rooms have an equipped kitchenette for breakfasts and mini fridges for keeping the cold stuff cold. As I recall, the King bedded room also had two robes for guests.

The Inn does not have a swimming pool, and if you want accomodation that is amenity loaded, then you would be better to stay at one of the resorts. The Rooms Up Top and the Inn were delightful and in an overheated hotel market like Sedona for the price and the location within walking distance of uptown, this is a hidden Gem. We'll try and stay here again.

My boyfriend and I spent two days in the Rose Tree Inn while attending a wedding in Sedona, and we found Rose Tree Inn to be a wonderful deal. The place is very picturesque, with a small Italian-style garden. The rooms are comfortable, without excessive florishes but with all the necessities of life. Gary, the inn-keeper, is very warm and helpful in an effortless kind of way. I would definitely stay there again.

Affordable, comfy, clean, attractive older bungalows with kitchen areas. A beautiful garden patio area for relaxing with many plants and birds. A hot tub for warming or cooling. Cable TV and video player with many free movies to borrow in the office library.

And best of all, it is in walking distance to many good restaurants and to the main shopping strip in uptown Sedona. Try the Sedona Arts Center two blocks away. Hundreds of beautiful pieces by local artists, and they don't charge sales tax on purchases.

Rose Tree, we will be back!!!!
