“Creekside Inn Has It All”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2005

The Creekside Inn has it all; beauty, comfort, location and wonderful owners and staff. It's the best B&B we've stayed at in all the many years we've been coming to Sedona.

First of all and probaly not important, our records are not available and our memory dim - our visit might have been one year earlier, but we think it was last year.

We had a very odd experience. We were there for just one night and had looked forward to it being special. The grounds were beautiful and our room - the Creekview (most expensive) - was very nice, if a bit odd to have a modern building turned into a Vicorian-themed inn. It seems that this decor is what speaks 'B & B' to most people and it was, in fact, well done and comfortable. The innkeepers were very nice, the food good. The glitch was that upon checking into our room we discovered that the sewer had backed up into our shower and toilet - it was gross. This was clearly not the innkeepers fault and they did seem mortified in a contained sort-of-way. Since they were not totally booked they had us shower in another room while they had our bathroom thoroughly cleaned. The problem was that we had only partial use of an expensve 'view' room and we were 'on hold' and discombobulated for the whole day while they figured out what to do and whether we would be able to stay in our room.

What could have made this review have a very different slant is that they missed the opportunity to do more than be sorry - buying us lunch somewhere while we waited would have been a very nice touch - comping the room would have been what we thought to be appropriate - or a large discount or a coupon for a free night some other time. Nope, just, "we are very sorry and please come back". Again - the mishap was not their fault but what we came there for - and paid retail for - was not what we got. This odd and unpleasant occurrence aside, we would go back and give them another chance.

I took my wife to the Inn on August 16th, 2004 for our first wedding anniversary. We drove up from Phoenix, for the weekend to go Hotair Ballooning.
We were waited on hand and foot. Even when I couldn't figure out how to turn on the A/C, they came from their home in the middle of the night, and were very happy to help.
The Food is soooo Good, we will return just for the breakfast!
I highly recommend the Garden Suite, which is where I would chose to stay on any return visit.

We spent our 9th anniversary at the Creekside Inn. It was very quiet and private in the Inn and on the property. We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend and would recommend it to anyone looking to get away for a couple of days to unwind. The rooms are nicely decorated, providing a calm, quiet retreat. The Inn is tucked back in the trees, away from traffic and passersby. It feels very secluded, but is very close and convenient to anything in Sedona. The breakfast was delicious as well. But don't just take my word for it - check it out for yourself!
